The character is based on perception (perceptionism, perceptualism, relativism, solipsism), the idea that everything is nothing but a matter of perception, Voidiris as a name can take three forms.
Iris as a reference to the divine messenger, void as a synonym for nihilism.
Then that the iris is (void) invalid, so there is nothing that can regulate what is seen as truth.
And then the interpretation that I see as the main one (and probably the original one) that the void (objective) creates the iris (subjective).
