It seems if you print a whole page (basically a book in dark mode), it will use between 0.5ml and 1.2ml (let's take 1ml for the sake of simplicity)
So, for a book of 500 pages, between 25 and 50cl.
Just between 1.25K and $2.5K

> For a HP black printer cartridge, that costs $24.95 for 4.5ml, works out to be about $5,544 per liter (I will use 5K instead) —color cartridge costs even more. (I will take this as a reference, probably not the best source out there)

And thus, I realise how expensive ink is.

That's what it would cost to print it at your home, but not for a bookstore actually.

Ink cartridges are sold with some crazy profit margins, like... 1000% or higher, I dunno exactly how much.

So like... If they were able to get ink at factory prices, I bet it would cost like... 100-500$ to print it.
