Ahahaha... I have been wondering, if did I go out of bounce..again & make her OP in that short free style series lol!:blob_sweat:

.......In truth I just want to write a horror stuff in the thread... I mean fantasy horror seems lacking in general! Ahahaha:blobrofl:... Wait is there even a medival fantasy fiction horror To begin with???:blob_hmm_two:
Tbh, most of your stories are fun reads, but your character is a lot above the expected power level of an early-game character... Which makes it hard to react to what you write.

In one hand I want to like it because it's fun.
In another I want to rant because your character is too powerful...

So... Welp.

I mean, vampires and werewolves in medieval settings are the traditional fantasy horror in the west...I think...
'-'

X
Yeah then there is also much of the Cthulu shit which is fantasy horror. Medieval fantasy horror is like the immortal alchemist who kills each fami

Well, C'thulu wasn't a thing until Lovecraft which was well past the medieval period.
I'm talking about during the actual period and what was considered horror.
Oh, witches and demons were also part of medieval horror - since they were presented by the Church as the physical embodiment of sin and temptation and all bad things in the eyes of God.
'-'

I've digressed, though...

I think you are misunderstanding. I think Vanus was referring to HP Lovecraft's story about the alchemist, which is quite close to typical "medieval horror" stories.

yeah I was referring to the alchemist.
But on the topic of legit eldritch stuff. Have you tried the Necronomicon and the other Daemonic entities? Some of them aren't actually all that powerful they just are unnatural.

I see! Thanks for giving your thoughts about your view about Reciful! I'll try considering some stuffs! Its very much welcomed ahahaha

In truth I also notice that maybe....I make her skill unfair? After reading others quest reports...... But when considering that early enemies were only slimes & Rats which can't even use magic or possess any special sword or unique abilities... I think its fine to do unfair at such enemies?

I plan Reciful as a early game player but will surely struggle when in higher lvl!

Example a Shaman Goblin! Or a Dullahan.. will sure give her a give her some serious wounds if not careful. Since she is weak at magic & swords

While I think other player is late bloomer who became OP at higher lvl~

Well, this is the planned scope of my character's transmutation magic:
Lvl 1-4: Manipulating the shape of objects temporarily. Molecular manipulation
Lvl 5-9: Manipulating the shape of objects.
Lvl 10-14: Temporarily conjuring objects that can't have chemical reactions.
Lvl 15-19: Manipulating the structure of molecules, causing chemical reactions or breaking things apart. - don’t go too crazy. Essentially FMA stuff.
Lvl 20-24: Creating lesser golems
Lvl 25-29: Perform transmutation over a distance
Lvl 30-34: Creating golems.
Lvl 35-39: splitting molecules
Lvl 40-44: fusing molecules.
Lvl 45-49: Create homunculi
Lvl 50-54: Manipulate animate things as well.
Lvl 55-59: Manipulate immaterial things
Lvl 60: Philosopher's stone

I have 2 running plans at the moment one is a slow burn with gaining information and knowledge and slowly becoming a spider at the middle of a giant web before re-entry to the "warhammer 40K" universe for buffs and then a return journey later maybe.
The second is the corruption story line where she slowly ends up becoming not Slaanesh.

For me, I am just going to go with the flow and increase Vivis' power by either,
  • Getting more well enchanted aka powerful clothes
  • More powerful minions and necromancy and dragon magic
  • Super powerful MUPs like say a hand of a titan or stuff like that.

Good luck and have fun with it! ^^)/

And yeah, some characters seem to be growing quite well so far and seem like they'll be pretty strong in the future...

Not mine though! Nene will be weak forever! xD
... But that's just me~ *whistles*

I think the most important thing is to keep in mind the power-levels of the setting, as well as having an end goal in mind for your character once they reach level 60 that doesn't break the world.

Now that you mention it......perhaps its the fault of me reading & watching to much novel (WN, LN) and anime that I no longer see them as horror.... But a cliche?
Perhaps.
Then again, maybe in a few years eldritch horror stories will become the new cliche.
'-'

I genuinely mean no offence with that statement, btw.
I think that Reciful is very endearing, if on the OP side.
