Well, considering the native British are bad at everything except cursing over the last century… you have to go to the 18th and 19th century.

no like specifically in the uk, i was thinking I could move the setting in the story to someplace your more familiar with so you can do the best job. Slang differs in areas y'know

Just look up a ton of videos of Welsh, Irish, and English video game streamer videos and that should give you plenty to work with.

Also, if your character is from a specific region or town, find out what beef they have with other towns and regions as there is plenty. This will probably lead you to some interesting names for the locals and slang terms for everyday items that are local to that region.

UK cuisine has Its own set of slang terms so if you have any food scenes you'll need to research that based on region, year, and religious affiliation(this is especially important if Irish/Welsh) in that order.

London has a lot of regional dialects so it’s hard to give one overall “London” one. Gang culture has some completely incomprehensible dialect that I wouldn’t recommend if only because no one is gonna understand it.
