DxD draws a verrryyyy THIN line between Hardcore Ecchi and straight up Hentai, but not once has it done any sex scenes. Just incredibly Ecchi ones so it still falls under Ecchi

In the anime itself not everyone has a love interest. Look at Kiba for example, he doesn't have any romantic connections and just vibes with the beta version of unlimited works I call: Limited Blade Works. If you don't want to do romantic connections its fine, just act the same way you do in SHHS but only this time we would have dxd lore in it. Like how devils make houses, which the members are based on the chess pieces and all that.

It is simple.

As an eldritch god, he wants to observe things on a lower plane. His attempts at the great culling weren't working out. However, to observe, he weaved a field of perception filtration.

I'm normal.

The problem is, being normal is boring. Nothing you do ever stands out, so nobody cares. He's just... there. Whatever. The mind just moves past him.

So tell me, how many normal people do you know? How many are friends?

You make friends with exceptional people. The eldritch God, is not. Or rather, you don't see him as special. He's that guy, in the back, everyone just knows, but you never talk to. You don't pick him first for the team, but he's not last, either.

And so, he observes, but slowly, ever so slowly, he realizes he doesn't know anyone. He tries to make friends for "scientific reasons" but beyond striking up a conversation, no plans to do anything with him ever materialize.

He never gets asked to the dance, because girls look for attractive guys and normal isn't attractive. People never ask him to join any clubs or teams because, well, he isn't anything special. He's normal.

So while being seen as the most normal, inoffensive, and average person in school, he is also...

Utterly...

Completely...

Alone.

Even in a crowd.
