When it comes to Fate I'm only familiar with Fate/Zero, but Twilight was such a mash of tropes that if you try you can fit anything into it :blob_joy: I miss the good old days of shitting on Twilight...

If you want to talk about unhealthy relationships, let's mention 50 Shades of Gray. I couldn't get through the first movie. The amount of awkward pauses and the terrible way people treat each other almost made me throw up.

As for the supernatural side of things... Twilight tried to do something and it failed horribly.
Fun fact: 50 Shades started out as a Twilight fanfic :blob_joy: :blob_joy: :blob_joy:

Never read or watched it.
My sister read it and said the quality was terrible.
I watched a YT book review of it and it sounded absolutely nightmarish.

As for the story...
From what I've heard that happens in it, it doesn't represent how the BDSM world works accurately at all.
'-'
As for the supernatural side of things... Twilight tried to do something and it failed horribly.
In the conversations I've had about the supernatural side of it, it would have worked so much better if they had just been a different monster race instead of vampires.

As for other things...
Because of those books, the actual Native American territory of that area got devastated by mindless tourists/fans who showed a severe lack of disrespect for the culture of the people there.
'-'
Or so I've heard.

You didn't miss anything. I watched it out of sheer curiosity if it's really as bad as people make it out and it was absolutely terrible. Even the supposedly "spicy scenes" were a total snooze fest :blob_sleep:

After watching it just a few months ago again I thought that the world itself wasn't that bad. Meyer had a few interesting things going on with the Volturi and the hybrids, but then - of course - nothing was actually expanded upon, because Bella and Edward had to be horny cardboard cutouts for each other for 4 books. (I actually read all of the books and watched all movies at least 2 times...)

Ironically, it was the 'romance' part of the series that killed it.
As for the toxicity of it, Bella really comes off as extremely selfish and obsessed in some ways.
Like, as soon as she finds out/discovers that Edward is (possibly) a vampire, she suddenly wants to be super close with him.
She constantly asks to be turned, or asks what it's like being a vampire, or what she can do to be part of their world.
She wants to become immortal when she's only 17.
She thinks she's old when she turns 18.
It's a very...sad outlook on how Bella perceives things...
Or maybe it's more a sad outlook on how Meyer sees things...

Then when Edward leaves her for her own safety, she becomes incredibly reckless and an adrenaline junkie - completely disregarding the intentions that Edward had for leaving her.

I'm not saying Edward was any better, since he literally stalked her and trespassed on her property, and even watched her while she slept which is...verging on somnophilia...almost...which is another whole bag of worms regarding consent and such...

..I digress...

Yeah, I heard the main leads absolutely couldn't stand each other, meaning there was no chemistry at all on screen.

Fate stay/night is an eroge. You would need to have deliberately searched for the fan translation.

Something something planck temperature mumbles that fire would just collapse into a black hole at that point
It's 1.41 × 10³²K, quite BIG a number...

... it's the center of the sun, you would be crushed by the pressure, not the gravity :blob_neutral:
Pressure is still derived from one of the 4 Fundamental Forces, which in the case of the centre of the Sun, is Gravity…

Bella was the most infuriating thing in this series. Let's not forget how she just used Jacob to forget Edward and then the moment he came back she just threw away all of the people that supported her in that time.
Honestly, both of them are just the type of characters that shouldn't be taken as a role model for a partner in a relationship...

I'd much rather read a book with Rosalie as a MC. She was probably the only character in the series that went through some "character development".

Yeah, apparently :blob_joy: Entire movie was a disaster that for some reason broke the bank
