Whenever I see someone with a female pfp, I assume they are a girl. If they don't have a female pfp, I assume they are a guy.

However, I might get more accurate results if I were to think the opposite X_X

I think the pp doesn't matter in any way.

People say that, but our minds are more gendered than we like to admit. Even if we are unaware, the culprit is our subconscious, and only when the person reveals it or we do get it wrong do we realize how we were treating them.
I feel like that's half-correct, or at least not detailed enough for my liking. Our minds are gendered, yes, I do see it in myself. I also have no qualms to the latter. In regards to our minds being gendered though, there's a very useful thing I think is called a neutral pronoun.

As a side note, I prefer to make a distinction between neutral and 'it'; it's generally the same thing but 'it' implies inanimatedness while neutral (I mostly use 'they' with it) does not.

The thing with the neutral pronoun is that it's outside any gender by its very definition. Even if don't count any other ways I may see people (personally I think I have at least three more, though it often gets really debatable there), that one's definitely very common. TheTrashWriter will be a volunteer, actually. Nothing I know about them would make me think they're specifically male of female, and until I do, they're in that group of peeps who don't fall to either side. And no matter how I think about it now, nah, I don't think I've assigned them any gender. That's a true neutral right there.

That's the reason why I won't say my sex and I honestly don't know what gendered thinking is supposed to be, I don't know how a man/woman is supposed to think.

I think all the supposed differences in women's and men's behavior and thinking have got more to do with proximity to different kinds of people and different education, and that can actually be stretched to entire generations, not just singular cases.

I've always had few friends at school, most of my social contact in my childhood was family, and I always felt I was closer in personality to my mom than dad, but I also see a ton of habits and tiny traits in myself that my dad has, and it's not like it's because of my gender or despite my gender. Everyone's gonna be like that.

Those can be some insignificant things such as what and how much swear words we use, but a lot of things, repeated and perhaps even ingrained, they stay for a long time. This can actually be extended to so much more than just how men and women are supposed to think. Behavioral patterns, habits, conditioning, arguably even evolution.

At the end of the day memes are to blame and I can definitely see your reasoning.

How many of the girls on SH are actually girls/identify as girls. I've learned heavily from discord and reddit that I can't trust nothing when it comes to how people represent themselves

Browsing through popular novels and genres here, my conclusion was: not many are girls
