I don't find myself doing much "brainstorming," I have a beginning, middle, and end as rough ideas all in my head, then as I go I end up having more ideas either throughout the day or while I'm writing. I never actively sit down to come up with what happens next.

I also wrote 5k today, but I had the day off work due to a minor vehicular problem so I had more time for it than I usually would. That encompasses the end of one chapter, the entirety of another, and the beginning of a third.

7:07 a.m.: Finished the chapter I started yesterday, now I will do my workout, and then edit, before posting chapter 13.1 on AO3. (I woke up at 4, then went back to bed and woke up at 5. I am thinking about staying up even later than 10 p.m., just to rise and shine with the sun. Now I feel like a mushroom which grows in a dungeon. Not even a good dungeon, but a slug dungeon. No offense meant to the slugs!) :blob_cookie: :blob_cookie: :blob_cookie: :blob_cookie: :blobreading:

6:33 p.m. :

Finished another chapter, and I have around 200–500 words left of chapter 15. I will try to edit everything tonight, after I am done with writing chapter 15, because I seem to hate editing in the mornings. My brain wants to daydream at that time.

7:40 p.m.: Chapter 15 is done! Penmonkey goes to the Editing Wastelands, see you in 2–3 hours!

9:37 p.m.:

I did it. I edited the chapters. I am so happy that LanguageTool works in German as well.

Happy writing, everyone! :blob_cookie:

I will need to break a chapter in two because the outline is actually two chapters in one. It doesn't make sense to have the big reveal of the boss of the Agency of the Living Dead, and then switch back to the MC.

What was I even thinking?

Maybe I should have spent more than 2 hours writing the outline...
I wrote first chapter, but it turned out too big. I didn't know what to do, cut the wordcount, or split it in two, and even made a thread, asking for advice. That's the closest thing to what you have mentioned here.

Ya, sucks when that happens. How are you this morning, Sailus?

2.2.2024:

7:07 a.m.: Finished a chapter. Actually, it was supposed to be a part of the previous chapter, but that chapter clocked out at 3k words, so I just wrote it in two parts.

10:26 a.m.

I tried getting a coop room, but it is too early for everyone. Yesterday I got a room at around 3 p.m., so I can try that again today. Or, just take a break until after dinner, and then write one more chapter.

But even if I just end up editing the morning chapter and do nothing else, it is still ok. For you see, I wrote to my readers I will update during the weekend, but didn't tell them that I will update on both days! Now I can really stretch this story. ;D

1:54 p.m.:

Finished chapter 16! Just 4 more!

I have spent a total of 20 hours and 36 minutes working on this project! (The outline is included in that time)

Maybe I have 1 more chapter in me today, since I do need to edit what I have churned out today.

Also:

Book length! Book length! (Insert unrecognizable happy noises here :blobtaco::blobtaco::blobtaco::blobtaco::blobtaco::blobtaco::blobtaco::blobtaco::blobtaco::blobtaco::blobtaco:)

3:49 p.m.:

Reached chapter 18, but I need a break. Left it halfway through the second scene. And that is a problem because that chapter is important. I need to go back to it when I am at my best. So, I will just edit until I need to go to sleep.

I am seeing the end of the novel! Just two and a half chapters to go!

6:31 p.m.:

Brain uses Resist, Penmonkey puts on a rock song and turns the volume up.

Time to edit the word vomit...

Ramen!

8:19 p.m. :

The rock music gave me enough clarity to edit up to chapter 17. Is that though enough for me?

No.

The brain fog is gone, and I am hyped!

Time to finish this story!

10:20 p.m.:

I did it! I completed the book! Sure, I still need to edit the last two chapters, but it is done!

Happy writing, everyone!

@georgelee5786 and @2wordsperminute You go you! Full speed ahead!

3.2.2024:

I edited the last two chapters of my book (it feels so good being able to call it that. My first book length story for 2024! ;)), and now I think I can do some Babbel, Clozemaster, and start outlining the next story. The plot of which came to me in the shower because where else?

Once more, with feeling:

Book length! Book length! :blobtaco: :blobtaco: :blobtaco: :blobtaco: :blobtaco: :blobtaco: :blobtaco: :blobtaco: :blobtaco: :blob_cookie:

3:46 p.m.:

I outlined the first volume! 20 chapters in total, but with foreshadowing for what will happen next in the book! Now I just need to rest a bit, and I can start writing! (The outline is 4k words, by the way. I figured I could write the outline for volume two after I am done with volume 1. My brain is just used to go so far, as the Muse's headlights can bring it. It will take some practice to teach it to write the new way.)

7:27 p.m.

I wrote the first chapter of the new project. Will let it marinate for an hour and a half, and then edit it. This story will be my Sunday story.

How is your writing going along?

Edited the chapter I wrote yesterday. It seems I make fewer mistakes when I write in the evenings. Is that fact just an excuse to not write the entire day, and then to hop into a coop room after I eat my dinner?

Yes, yes it is! =)

I have the whole day planned: Cook, make cheese bread, read, generate characters and scenes, do my Sunday ramblings on DeviantArt, do my hour of Swedish, cycle on the fitness bike (I actually did my rest day yesterday, since I talked myself into a walk. And, the rest day passed better that way.) Might even play some CIV5 too. Let us see if spending the day doing everything but writing will let me stay up late!

Have you planned something for today, or will you rest? @georgelee5786 @2wordsperminute @RepresentingEnvy

10:30 a.m.

The relaxing is going slowly, but that is the point, right? I made a book cover for my current story:

Für Vampire.jpg

Changed the title of the story, too because otherwise I wouldn't have been able to make this book cover. It is nothing special, but that smirk... that gorgeous smirk says more than a thousand words!

I think I found my favorite canva font.

6:56 p.m.:

I wrote one chapter and a half. It is funny because the whole day I thought about the story, and now that I am passed the 3k words mark, I simply want to rest a little bit more. Tomorrow I will be editing what I have, and probably find enough inspiration to finish chapter 3 before lunch.

This relaxing thing is great!

Happy writing! =)

I'm dedicating Sunday to stressing over the fact that my story hasn't advanced a single sentence since I started posting one month ago. :sweating_profusely:

Pick one title, weave it into your story, just write the next word.

You may not be able to run with a broken leg, but you can still get around, provided you get a wheelchair.

I hope that helped, even if it was only a little.
