I'm going to get this thread to 10 pages if I say it out.

Okay. This has me curious. Why? I read it. It seems a rather boring and dull story. And... I don't know if its an Isekai. I thought he was just a normal joe for his world.
That was precisely why I hated it. The story was boring and excruciatingly dull without coming across as offensive. I know it's not isekai, but Fate is such a cardboard cutout character that you can probably replace him with 90% isekai characters with minor tweaks—it won't change anything. And the romance was badly done.

Honestly I watched the anime because I knew it would be like that. Had a few laughs from not taking it seriously (was hoping for a so bad it's good kind of thing).

For me, it is anyone who fits into 2 main archetypes.
1. Those who impose their will, or restrict the freedom of an mc.
2. Spineles MC's who don't stand up for themselves.

I personally hate it when there are characters who overstep their bounds, something I find quite prevalent in Japanese content, be it due to their culture of beliefs. And by extension of that, those Japanese novels where the mc conquers the world with 'unrivalled Japanese cuisine'. like come on, it's not like everyone will think your food is 'divine', especially from a medieval society, with different tastes and preferences and all that. As an author, I pursue realism within the world settings I write, and I find Japanese content to be somewhat lacking in those regards.
