So, I really want to write something different and well-planned, but my brain is a hamster wheel. Or maybe a donkey, and it is always on the lookout for carrots. I get my carrots from my readers, but if I want to write the story to completion before posting (which I intend to do for my next project), I won't be getting any carrots from them, now, would I? Is anyone up for a project update thread? It doesn't matter how many words you have written, or if you have just brainstormed today, or done anything about the story. If you feel that is relevant, then just type a quick note sharing it.

I will start: Today I finished a chapter. How did you do today?

Update 9:12 p.m.: Finished part 1 of chapter 13, and have just one scene left of part 2.

Thank you for your time!

I'm getting very close to a turning point in the novel, so I'm trying to fight the urge to sprint through the tension building straight to the fun parts.

I also decided on which idea I'm going to materialize next, so I will have some planning and outlining to do today.
And I also started writing the fanfic chapter for SHHS.

@RiaCorvidiva do you want to complete your novel before posting it too?
March 25. I need a backlog of about 50-60 chapters because I will be simultaneously releasing on RR as well as SH, and the former will require me to dump a bunch of chapters on Day 1 for algorithm purposes. Beyond that, I will still need chapters for a Patreon backlog.

Daily chapter done, edited, and scheduled for release. Now, I am moving on to writing my SHHS chapter that I have been slacking off with, and after that, I will write half of the chapter for another chapter that I'll finish tomorrow.

Rinse and repeat the same thing every day.

Finished the first chapter +4 hand drawn illustrations for it. I shleved another project for the time being. That was more of a fluffy unorganized story that I was just writing for personal fun, but I reused the setting. Started writing my own anti-royalty fantasy story because I’m tired of all these monarchy apologist fantasy writers.

I’ll post a preview of one of the I images. It’s very rough since it’s only a sketch, you can tell the areas I drew before I started losing patience.

@Corty You are a writing machine! How many stories are you currently writing at once?

I was bitter and sarcastic to someone who annoyed me. Then I made microwaved food that was unevenly cooked and lamented the death of 'crisp' being a state that food once came in. I tried to play Rimworld, but got a bad start and quit. Then I played a few hands of inscryption, then I brushed the carpet to get cat hair out of it.

I thought about writing while I brushed the carpet.

Depends on how much caffeine I have in my bloodstream, I could finish a chapter in a single night, which is around 1,2k to 2k+ depends on how I want to set the arc.

Today? Only about 600 words.

Only two (three if we count the forum RP).

I have my main story (5 chapters per week), then a fanfic (3 chapters per week) to simply write something different and relax my mind.

Besides that, I manage the forum fanfic and do a chapter for it here and there.

@TheEldritchGod (Looks left, looks right. Man oh man, there is nothing I can say that won't get me chewed out. Hm...) Happy writing, take good care of your carpet! May the dust bunnies be your Muse!
@Rhaps And that is supposed to be little, or something? Every writing amount is a good writing amount!

Thank you both for joining!

@Corty I stand by my words, writing machine!

I will need to break a chapter in two because the outline is actually two chapters in one. It doesn't make sense to have the big reveal of the boss of the Agency of the Living Dead, and then switch back to the MC.

What was I even thinking?

Maybe I should have spent more than 2 hours writing the outline...

Has something like this ever happened to you? @RiaCorvidiva @Corty @TheEldritchGod @Rhaps @DannyTheDaikon @CarburetorThompson @SailusGebel (yes, I know you haven't joined, but I am curious. Bear with me.)

I brainstormed some about a large event late in my novel, and about the layout of a castle city. It is hard to make a city that is invincible without seeming ridiculous

Have you tried with a star ford? It still won't be invincible, but it will last a couple of years through a siege. I watched a video yesterday, and one of the cities there held up for 21 years. (I am terrible with remembering names, so I can't tell you which city it was. Somewhere in the Netherlands, if I remember correctly.)
