What kind of music do you listen to while writing?

Figured that I'm not the only one who listens to some tunes while writing, but I'm curious what the majority of writers here listen to.
For example, i just listen to whatever lmao. Most of the time, it coincidentally matches with who i'm writing, but even if they don't, i just like to listen to music.

Mostly video game music myself. Nothing lyrical though -- lyrics distract my crow brain when I am trying to write.

I am the complete opposite because i have a current hyperfixation of numetal and anything deftones, and every single time i just jam out while writing, which sometimes ends up getting me distracted.

It does end up being a fun time to write, even if i only get 100 words done.

I can't really sit in silence. It feels uncomfortable so I almost always have some kind of music on. Generally some genre of rock music. However sometimes some pop music, movie soundtracks, video game soundtracks.

Personally I listen to a lot of things. Nightcore, some relaxation bullshit, sometines classical, orchestral. I noticed that music often really helps set the mood, which is very helpful when I want to write in an appropriate tone.

Depen on what i'm writting. Sad scene, put on sad music(stay at your house-cyberpunk), happy scene, put on happy music. Angry scene, put on Doom soundtrack.

I listen to anime music to hype me up before writing, mostly high-octane ones that would serve as my novel's Anime Opening in my headcanon.
However, silence during the actual writing is what works best for me, no writer's block whatsoever. My fingers just press the keyboard keys smooth like butter.

I like to listen to anime intro and outro music sometimes, but I mostly just use the new DJ feature on Spotify here lately, it goes off my previous listened-to songs, and most listened-to artists and genres, and plays different songs that I have heard before or might be hearing for the first time. As I am polyjamrous, my DJ mix has nearly every genre, besides country... ok maybe a couple of songs. lol

I do to , I have to be vibing and dancing in my seat when I am writing really happy scenes lol. Even though I listen to dj depending on the scene I am writing I might skip lol.
