To my knowledge, he waived copyrights to drawing, so people can draw OP characters and even sell their stuff with it.

But he still has ownership of the story itself. So, if he wants to end it, he can. (I think)

Why so much hate? maybe they get rid of all fillers and fix the pacing so that it is more comfortable to watch.

Didn't know they were going to make it. But would rewatch if it's closer to one pace version.
