I think what I have been typing in the "Tavern" is supposedly in the "Free style"??

It said in the description that Tavern is just a one line as if a conversation place between player/characters right? And those that I write in there is ridiculously long story


Um did I get it wrong? Or wherever its ok. But if I somehow annoyed anyone by posting a wall of text in a wrong place... Sorry I did not notice, I'm new to this.

PS: if i'm indeed wrong I'll try to repost it in the free style somehow

Well, since the location is the plaza outside the tavern and you're looking for interactions, then technically it's in freestyle. It's nothing too serious though, but it's somewhat weird if, after your first post, someone just popped up and said hello. Like, since your character radiates a fear aura, you get what I'm getting at?

For magic... buying an introductory tome is expensive... same as the cost of buying a book in the medieval era

Books were expensive in the medieval era due to the lengthy and laborious process of making them.
They were made from vellum - sheep skin - and underwent a long process of being in a bath of chemicals, being scraped, being stretched and dried, to then being handwritten using expensive inks, to then being sewn together to then being bound with leather or some other hard-wearing material.

The upside of that was it made the books exceptionally long-lasting.
It's why, to this day, all laws made by the British government are still written on vellum scrolls and stored in a vault.

Yeah, will probably rethink and raise the rewards if we end up putting out an updated price table.

I was keeping them low because @SpearOfLies was worried that money would become meaningless if people just collected tons of money.

Additionally, I felt like the low reimbursement reflected how cheap/poor the guild was.

However I do think it's important that players are able to afford things like potions, particularly in regions like Gelderholm where the quest board states that there isn't "free healing" at the temple anymore.

If we manage to get reasonable wealthy before entering D rank will be ideal. If we get filthy rich before that, good luck keep money relevant on C rank when money earning we scale even higher.
