A little bit of correction:'-'
You know, I really wish that the no_mouth emoji was a reaction choice for posts...
Thanks for giving a summary, it's much appreciated.

As for the content...I feel it odd how eager the people were to have others enter their village, lead the outsider to their second-in-command, as well as take directly to their shrine maiden after only a few days with them. Even more odd how they immediately wanted outsiders to come to them to be hired for work.
That's my take on it, at least.
I'd say a thorough investigation of these people would need to be done before any more interactions are carried out with them.

@GM Tagging you since you asked about what to do in the tavern.

- There's a part about the beastmen being wary about Vicious since she suddenly popped up outside of her village, but since she's also part beast, they accepted her more quickly.
- There's also a part where the elderly dog beastman talked to Vicious about what she was doing there, and since she was forthcoming about her reasons, they decided to be as well. Besides, she was going to explore the inner city regardless, so in the worse case scenario where she turned out to hostile, they'd know where she was.
- The miko maintains the barrier that blocks out the outside, so when someone breaches it for the first time but doesn't cause a huge mess, it's quite natural to want to see what this person is like. Hence the invite.
- They might want to hire outsiders, but mostly for security reasons while the leadership discusses exactly what to do about the situation. So in that case, hiring adventurers would not be too odd.
