I have been working on a novel for about 2 months now and i was publishing it on webnovel. Not many people read it and it got around 4k views. But that wasn't so bad. What was bad though is that none of them seemed inclined on commenting anything regarding the novel. So i basically have no idea how other people will perceive what i have written. I am considering starting from scratch and rewriting the whole thing since i have read and watched quite a few writing resources since then. So i might do better.
But i would still like to know how that much appeals to people.... were my promises clear, was the progression and payback of the first small arc alright.... was the story readable... or any critiques whatsoever are welcome.
I can't get the sense of all that since i have read through it more than 10 times already... I don't have many friends, the few i do are not so much into reading fiction, so it would be odd to ask them to review it. Can't ask anyone in family for it due to obvious reasons. i tried on the feedback threads on different forums and they just speak about the first few chapters.
So is there anyone free enough to do this for a complete stranger here... or can you suggest any forums that can do this for me.
Or is it a hopeless endeavour.... i should just get good....

Post it on SH too. More likely to gain readers.

To get comments, you need two things. The first is a lot of readers. The second is having a percentage of those readers comment on it.

As for the first thing, Webnovel inflates their viewcount. The way things go on Webnovel, it is next to impossible for a non-contract story to be stumbled upon by a reader, so where are the views coming? And I just tested this. I scrolled through your story, from 4.1k it became 4.2k views after a minute. I scrolled through again, it became 4.3k views. Either there were a hundred people scrolling with me or Webnovel is making shit up. Try it yourself on another computer or something.

As for the second thing, the most talkative site is RR. But I'm not sure if you'll be able to handle it there, so just post it here. People in SH aren't really talkative, but maybe you'll get a few comments if you get a hundred readers. True readers, not whatever shit Webnovel is doing.

Webnovel does a poor job at advertising newly added titles. My publication there got far fewer views, and no one commented anything either —the completely different situation here, on SH. Just make sure not to post more than three chapters a day. In my experience, It's best to do it once a day, even if you have many chapters ready.
As for a review, I'll have some free time on the weekend, so I'll take a look. No promises, though.

Post on other platforms, go to the forums, and then ask for feedback.

If you post regularly without asking, majority of readers won't give you feedback or comment. Unless they're feeling themselves or actually care for your work, they'll just read and not say much. Maybe you'll get the occasional 'TFTC' but that's about it.

if you use a good thumbnail typically of a generic anime girl, you should get more views.

Getting like a Google chrome extension for grammar, like grammarly would be a good means to develop your writing style and proper grammar

Add some interaction of some kind at the end in notes. Make a first comment about something in the chapter to see if anyone agrees/disagrees.

For Webnovel, they "give" you 1k view per chapter you publish, you can reload again and again until reaching that "limit" and gain view each time.

WTF? What's the point?
To make people post more. Just see the many threads of authors here saying they repeatedly check their stats. It's like those dating sites with women bots to hide the fact that it's like 99% guys there actually. Webnovel doesn't have that heavy a traffic like they pretend. Plus, it's the contracted stories that get views (compared to a couple of years ago I used to write there where free stories have a chance of getting views). So, to make it seem like their site is bigger than it is, and also keep writers "addicted", they fake the stats.
