If you're feeling stuck, why not do an ss in the freestyle rp thread?

X
It is just that there are no reason to do so. I don't want to play by myself, yet my character is not the type to communicate with others. If you read the quest report I've written, I'm really trying to think how to do things without uttering a word if possible.

Why not create an NPC who barges into your character's life without their consent?
You know, the kind that drags them into trouble by accident all of the time, or bad luck scenarios always occur whenever they're around your character.
It could give some comedic moments and allow your character to develop, without your character necessarily communicating since they just get dragged along.

Of course, that's just an idea, don't feel like you have to do that.
It's your character, after all, do what you feel is right for them and yourself.
If you want a break from them for a bit, there's nothing wrong with that.

*sees you in a whole other light*
That's the one where the first prince who meets her rapes her because he claims the aphrodisiac plant fluid would kill her if she doesn't have semen pumped into her several times. Or...something like that.
I dropped it before reading about the other 6 men. I didn't like it.
Ah, it never was translated much, so I could only see it go with 2 men. Nonetheless, I had never really read this kind of stuff before, so it was all pretty new for me and stuff.

And I was kinda discovering myself at that point too, so I wasn't quite sure what I liked or not... What I realized was that I enjoyed reading that and started searching for more like it... So I guess it played into my fetishes before I even knew them~
Shirayukihime is really good though! It was one of my favorite manga in high school! I was super into it before the anime made it popular. :blob_happy:
I'll add it to my list of stuff to read later!

... That list never stops growing bigger! >.<
Why not just separate it with the holy clergymen(like priest/clerics/saints/bishops) among the healing practitioners(witch doctors/druids/herbalists)?
Maybe healers that are not part of a religion organization? Is that possible? Like, the non magical ones.
I imagine druids aren't the kind that usually lives in civilization, so I doubt they'd be enough to make a guild.

Non-priest healers most likely exist I guess? Though again, not sure if they're in big enough numbers to make a guild.

Doctors and Herbalists have a lot of overlap I think? Though I could see them organizing themselves into a guild, I'm not sure what we'd be able to do to play into that?
I've only seen like 1 knight based char soooo I guess theyre not as popular as I thought.
I think since we need to start from the bottom, a lever 1 is far away from a knight. But that is just my opinion.
Even the weapon are pricey. How much do you think steel armor cost? Not to mention the maintenance for that. Knights are really a class that need to be supported by money, and everyone is dirt poor with most quest took a day of job and returns 10G, which is the cost of living for a day.
*nod nod nod* Knights are pretty pricy and high in the skill level, so it's generally not what you'd expect from people that just joined.

I expected most people that just joined to come with a sword, a shield and lots of dreams at most~
Feeling stuck writing the story. I feel like the words I've written doesn't advance the plot at all. My choice of words is also limited since I am not a native speaker, too. I guess it was the time to plan instead of letting the words flow.
I'm also not a native speaker too. And your story is quite nice too. I tried to read all of the story in the receptionist. Yours are good. Just want to state that.
Just wanted to agree with Obscura, I really like reading your stories~

And hooray for a comrade that likes reading everything! *hugs*
How intelligent are those goblins?
are they the race that uses tools? traps? Am I supposed to take inspiration for those goblins from goblin slayer?
Totally up to you. We work with additive world-building instead of restrictive world-building, so... If you wanna make them dumb and aggressive, feel free to.

Or if you wanna make them more intelligent and sneaky, also feel free to!

Or if you wanna make them actually smart and misunderstood and what not... Feel free to as well!

As long as you don't make broad statements like "all goblins act like [insert method here]", all is good~
Or do a party quest? I haven't done any too. I'm still stuck in the "Helping The Poor Orphanage" plot.
You can always hop between plots as you see fit! ^^)/

I guess I just want to let my hunter learn how to heal people. At this moment, he knows the gist of some medical herb, but that's all. He doesn't know how to heal people or treat people. Injuries and such is also mostly treated by bandaging and simple treatment on the field. Let's just say that I want my hunter to treat someone in case they're sick. Not looking at a particular priest, but you know what I mean.

And yes, I tried to read everything. The stories here are interesting.

Well, I do like graphic smut, but there was just something about that one I didn't like...

I highly recommend it, it's very heartwarming and wonderful.

At times like these is where reason kinda takes place. I usually make my stories on the go but before I write them I ask myself, Why would X do this? Where would X get item X? What is the next goal of X? Stuff like that.
I guess.

My character current goals is to get blacksmith license. Not that I would play blacksmith right now or in the possible future. I'm picturing the character as kind of lost, don't know what to do. She'd like to explore everything to found what she wanted to do.

It is possible for me to write her to be not fixated on the blacksmith license at the current stage. But since the questline for blacksmith requires firewood, I've been making her saving money for a backpack. Then there is the problem with the size mismatch (picturing backpack that would be carried by adventurer, the size must be quite large. So I thought of those carrier backpack, since with that form, she could hold more things like firewood), which is solved by a contrived solution of her carrying it while flying.

The problem with that, is that her staying in character, and staying in power level. Obviously, staying in power level in the early stage is hard since flying gave the character more ways to avoid enemy encounter. Though, this conflict with the character since I'm picturing the form that allowed her to fly to be some kind of rage mode she can access at will, at the cost of staying in enraged state.

How to write enraged character, too, feels hard.

The woods requested are located in northern forest. While farming for woods, a goblin encounter felt too easy if those goblins are not that intelligent, since I think only goblin archer would stay a threat for her (or goblin mage, but would a scout party of goblin include it?). Escaping seemed easy, then the threat lies on the destruction of her items, since it is inconvenient for her to do so while chopping woods. But would the goblin take interest on that? cart filled with firewood? backpack?

That's it. I'm scrapping it.

--------------

The character of the blacksmith seem rough, with temper to match. I wonder how many more negativity until it began to affect her? In the end, if she stay with her attitude, I would feel really down in her place when interacting with the blacksmith forge-master.

I feel like I should scrap it for now, the whole idea with blacksmith apprentice.

Oh, by all means develop your character however you see fit! ^^)/

I was just saying like... I feel like a healer/doctor guild would feel a bit weird... But against, nothing stops anyone from making one if they feel like it.

And even without a guild, your character can always find someone or a book that teaches him how to heal better even without the existence of a guild! \(^^)/

I don't think you need to worry too hard about power level. Like... As long as you don't go too above the expected guidelines, all is fine~

Since the world is full of isekai people, then make some doctor from a hospital isekai'd to the world. Then, write a roleplay on that? I'm not expecting that the doctor can treat the exotic characters, but for common human, perhaps? Though the problem with that is that what kind of doctor would have a knowledge that is worthy in the different world? Perhaps, like the manga asclepius or something where the doctor is living in the middle age or something.

If need be, make a second account to roleplay as doctor.

I agree with @AliceShiki said! Definitely feel free to take your character in any direction!

You don't have to wait for something to exist on a quest board -- you can have your character meet any kind of NPC that can teach you things!

I see. I'll think of a way to achieve that then. Thank you for the suggestion.

Yes, understood. I will take that into consideration. Maybe come across something while he was hunting or chopping tree. Thank you for the suggestion.

Before I make a feature request thread, I want to ask, is there a way to search for keywords, limited to certain threads? For example, I want to search Blacksmith's Apprentice. It would display from all threads, including the OOC room. I want to limit it to the thread guild reception desk only.

  1. Goto reception desk thread.
  2. Click on Search
  3. Type keywords
  4. Change "Everywhere" to "This thread"
  5. Add member names as per requirement.
