I have not interracted much with the bats of this world but iirc they don't fly in the sky. The batman movies tell me they live in caves, so they must be dogs of the caves not sky

If you look at a bat’s skeleton, notice that their wings have five finger bones, and their structure looks a lot like a primate’s hand (including ours.) This is the source of their scientific name chiroptera (hand wing.)
