Completed on Procreate by yours truly!

Also, said sketches of some characters (completed several months ago so my style has changed):
My MC, Lucille:

Her eye beneath the mask:

Her weapons Apophis and Ouroboros (they're sentient):

The Prophetess of Fate, Annaliese:

Her Paladin guard, Jasten Albrecht:

My MC's Alter-Ego/ Past Identity: Admiral Adrianna Riftmire

Ex-Mercenary blood-affinity warrior Hargrave:

My MC's personal crafter, Sedric:

The crafter's former house:

A mage with all six elemental affinities, Marellen:

The Demon Emperor Vitis Exolvuntur Imperatoris-Daemonium:

And my MC's winged snake sidekick, Scytale, on the first cover I did!

Yep! And it's my second time ever doing digital art, the first being my first cover. I've never taken any art classes and do it as a hobby, so I'm quite happy with how I'm doing so far But while my drawing and sketching skills are coming along nicely, my ability to develop colour palettes, not so much...

I remember in highschool when I started to shade noses like that lol

Digital art is great, just for being able to flip horizontally and not struggle with your eraser to not tear your paper

I used to prefer pen and paper because it was so easy to shade and smudge, but trust me, digital art has very convenient tricks. Especially when you start to understand lighting.

As for colour palettes, I had the same struggles. It's complicated af so I feel your pain. I mostly colorpick AI art nowadays. But if you understand the underlying physics and have brain power to spare, you can predict what colors to use depending on your lightsource and object

My turning point was to understand that every color in a picture must be contained in the color spectrum of the light source. Forget about cowardly tricks to restrain your color gamut to narrow ranges, going ham is the way

Right now, your drawings flesh out 3D shapes through subtle shading, the next step would be to add concept of light, but it's easy to get overwhelmed if you don't take it slowly

Ha... yes, well... first step would be getting an iPad with an apple pencil instead of iPhone...

Lol. I did say I used procreate for this.
I have a vastly different reaction between 'Procreate fell into my laps so I used it' and 'I'll spend all my bucks on an ipad when I could get a prebuilt pc with rtx 3040 + pentablet for the same price'

People who go for iPad have deep reasons to do so buried in their unfathomable mind, and it terrorizes the average human to catch a glimpse of it. It's not as if artists were normal people anyway, so dont mind me and have fun with drawing regardless of the tools you use

I won't stand this disrespect against Apple, at least when it concerns drawing on "iPad" using "Apple Pencil".

It's not due to how I love Apple ecosystem ;as it sucks lots of money, therefore it sucks lots of my financial happiness.

It's not due to how good is Procreate as a program (or app), nor how good the OC's drawing is (too rough and messy for my taste).

It's due to the extremely low "Parralax gap" it has. It's practically like drawing on screen itself with no glass separating you.

Display Gap - iPad 2018 vs iPad Pro 2017.jpeg.jpeg

It's even better when compared to average Wacom/Huion/XP Pen display tablet parralax gap

Altough not shown properly, iPad and iPad pro has better parralax compared to those professional level display tablet that were usually used by professional artist and designer.

Not to mention they're practically lighter, easier to move, and have high screen refresh rate to 120hz.

Finding professional display tablet that could show 120hz is rather rare and very expensive.

Therefore, in practical artist drawing usage, iPad and iPad pro is usually better than display tablet.

Altough it's a shame that the app/programs were usually rather expensive.

I have completed another character portrait!

Vincent Evisenhardt, my protagonist's silver-haired aide! Also the guy in the picture of the crafter's house. I botched the nose a bit. I went too heavy with the shading.
