Hi there, its me n my weird tangents again. Yes, it involves Systems again too.

I was thinking, what if System Users encountered a relatively harmless oddball that somehow, nullifies all their powers when in contact with him/her...?

as in, enchanted hits wont hurt them as much, magic attacks would disappear before even reaching them or even get bounced back, anything involving the System wil get canceled etc.

and the perp would just stand there.......

awkwardly!

Do physical strikes wound the dummy? Also this sounds like nulls and psykers from warhammer 40k

yes, but minus the added effects from the power

also to be clear, they would dodge/block/counter/run, not just stand there n take it obviously

Ah. Well the most likely scenario of this occurrence, depending on the setting, would be powerful people trying to get him and find a way to utilize him as a weapon, if that was what you meant to ask.

If the said oddball can’t use the system, that would mean the system can only effect people bound by it. If they can, it would probably mean their def, or a similar skill/stat, is extremely high if not bugged. Of course they can be holding divine equipment, and/or be highly over-leveled.

Well, you got your glitched system method:

Survival Story of a Sword King in a Fantasy World

That's the poster child.

Otherwise, you go with breaking the game. Not only does he have no system, but he can break turn order. He doesn't have to move exactly 30 feet before making an attack, he can actually dodge AoE. That sort of thing.

That's the poster child for taking one rule set an applying it to another.

As he is sliced through by a sword through his stomach because a sword is a sword even if it isn't enchanted to poop glitter

You don't need magic to make a metal stick with a sharpened edge dangerous. At this point you are just bending your story's logic backwards for the sake of a gag

Reminds me of Minic from Everybody Loves Large Chests. The little thing had a simple mind, but somehow accumulated so much Luck stat, it was effectively immune to any harm.
The world itself would bend to protect it and lead it back home no matter what it got up to.

The main character from a certain magical index has exactly that power. A power that nullifies other powers... I think. I've never watched/read it. But I read the spin off a certain scientific railgun and he is a side character in that sometimes.

Having the power to nullify fantasy makes you a real bad ass in fantasy land until some one realizes that the age old time tested method of pointy stick still works just fine.

Sure you can stop my fire ball from existing simply by being within 3 meters of it. But that's why I brought a colt .45.

Hey, that's my protagonist! But he's more clueless than the idiot.

You'd get either really someone really OP (Muhahahaha! Nothing you can throw at me can hurt me, System slaves!), completely pointless (Oh, you negated the +12 bonus of my sharpened sword of annihilation? Well, good for you, sorry for your arm, BTW, I guess you'll have a hard time regrowing it without the System help!) or quite interesting (I don't understand, your majesty, the vault was protected by the best spells, and the guards all have at least a tier two detection ability. Nobody should have been able to bypass the security and steal the crown.).

i've always find it funny that when it seems like someone is op like that, the good old gun/sharpened stick is the goto alternative lol
