To be specific, what if one day someone or several people undid the isekai for everyone? by means of either finding n accidently triggering an artifact or somehow defeating the deity responsible for it etc?

Context could be either they genuinely want to go back or even completely oblivious at the result of said action.

Public Order would implode, you have dozens of presumed dead people, so no legal identity, with insane magical powers coming back from savage worlds where they had to abandon their morals and probably routinely used force to solve their problems. Now in a world where they chose to hide or flaunt their inhuman powers and also may be coming back from positions of power, nobility, royalty, prestige, etc. I'd expect it to play out with several simultaneous disasters followed by a lul after those have been dealt with while the isekai protagonists who had families to search out/lives left behind go and search for them. Then these people have to come to terms with the years of life robbed from them, as all their friends and family moved on years ago.

So real bad.
We would be lucky if millions aren't killed by the more unhinged and powerful ones.

Would they come back as humans? There are many cases where people are isekai into monsters like goblins, spiders, slimes, ogres, behemoths, or elves. Some of them have special needs, like what if they are vampires and feed on humans.
Also, would they be restricted by the rules of that world, because some need magic or other energy to survive.

actually i was thinking their powers wouldnt work anymore since they arent in that fantasy world anymore

personally for me, i think its too convienient for them to keep their powers even back on their dimensions, so i thought there must be some kind of rule for that kind of thing.

well if they are originally humans, they would be reverted back since it was "undone" i think

Actually, now that I think about it...

I have a rule for this.

"Knowing is half the battle."

Once the world was aware of the existence of other worlds, they would try to reach them through the tools available to them. Even without the Isekai'ers having their powers. So the result would be... GATE. We would try to go to a world that seemed reasonable and steal their magic powers for ourselves~.

... that is smart.

But unless our science can go through to spatial manipulation, then no way.

We are good with self mutilation through big bang.

I just hope that the otherworlds don't come and fuck us.

@Deady779 (your name without an L is troublesome) just stated that all the isekai-ers come back without their powers.

I foresee at best a bunch of problems like after the blip.
i knew someone would eventually point it out.......

shouldnt hv made an account while being sleep deprived that time...

Click your name in the top right > Account Details > First Option.

Might take some time for admin approval.

Ah, in that case I expect a lot of heartbreak, depression, suicide and lost sense of purpose. So time to invest in a robust Therapy program and counseling services, assuming the mental health stuff is sorted, it may lead to a boom of new technology, sciences and research. Magic will be investigated. And religion will be questioned. Actually these returners will probably be condemned as a sudden cult as they espouse their stories that go against conventional teachings. They won't be believed unless they can produce some proof of foreign technology or knowledge, and even with that still most wont believe them, and simply think they are using their discovery/invention to push their strange religion. Would be a good opportunity to become an author though, simply write your story as it happened.

But mostly I would feel real terrible for those who came back. But hey, maybe they will be overjoyed to be back on earth, with the loved ones they left behind, and perhaps their journey left them better off as a person than when they left. But I expect mass dysphoria and critical depression to be the norm.

That's a good point, it may bring about a rush similar to the discovery of the new world as world powers seek to monopolize these new lands and resources.

It's actually a good background lore for every villain in a Urban Fantasy Light Novel targeted at 12-15yo boys that have chunnibyou syndrome.

It's just rather unrealistic how there's a huge amount of Vampire, Werewolf, Dragon, Monster, and Elf, within Japan and they manage to hide.

The explanation of "they're all coming back from another world after being reincarnated" would be quite interesting, especially due to "after isekai" Villains to fight against.
