I mean, spending hundreds of years by yourself in your own pavilion/abode/cave with no social interaction? I mean, that lifestyle attracts certain kinds of people who, well, with less than stellar communication skills...

This is my number one problem with cultivation novels. I am the type of person who prefer having tea first, talk it out to understand each other, if all fails then we brawl it out.

Cultivator talking to each other is like a dick measuring contest, they are dumb, they don't add any flavor into the story. Wasted dialogues. I don't know why people like this type of communication, I found nothing fun or enjoyable about them.

Maybe its because of my way of life to disrespect my ancestors, or just my pride as someone who is good at making dialogues and have standards, not make two character the same person with different names.

Some romance is pretty good, but most of the time the author writes a harem power fantasy. It’s rare that romance in a xanxia is good.

often it’s shallow, and the reasons the female falls for the male is because of stupid reasons.

Id honestly like to see a cultivation novel with a female MC who treats male harem
Members the same way, it would be more interesting to see reader reactions lol.

In xianxia women are meant to be trophies and exquisite decor items, no matter what heaven defying talent they have or how powerful they are, as long as they look 16-26 yr old, fair skinned and have a alluring scent they are destined to be medals of honor for other powerful men.
