I've been making quests that will make @ohko sad :blob_evil::blob_evil::blob_evil:

I feel like I'm so evil towards my characters!

Anyhow, since Scribel City is swimming with slimes, I've been thinking about what kind of economy the region might be based upon.

The city seems to be mostly rural / frontier, and doesn't have any notable specializations or goods/resources.

...except slimes.

:blob_happy:

So I'm currently thinking Slime Cores might be one of the city's main exports -- and perhaps the associated branch of potions and stuff.
Poor Okarin. they just want to live in peace with the vegetable slimes.

I've done some updates on the slimes entry if you want to update that on the site.

There's still more for me to update and look through though. :sweating_profusely:
Done! I updated the reference so that it links to your new post now too ^^

:blob_teary::blob_teary::blob_teary:
For storylines, I think World Anvil works best
I have no idea how to do that on World Anvil, it took me ages to even figure out how to add articles to Tonia xD So I'd have to leave that to you :blob_aww::blob_salute:

So... we are basically stuck to iron weapons? :blob_aww:

What do people think of someone adding a "Distress Flare" to one of the NPC shops?

The thought is that it's a single-use item that sends a signal that someone needs help.

When I was roleplaying with @Silver , we ran into the situation where we definitely hit monsters that were way beyond our level, and it would have been nice to be able to call for help. With something like a "distress flare", you could perhaps bring other players in to "rescue" or help out in tough situations.

Aha, when I was reading along with your roleplay I wanted to get Felicia to come in and help but the roleplay was closed and I didn't want to intrude so I decided against it xD (my plan was since she's scouted out the swamp area before, she could've come back to take another look or something and saw you guys)

But yeah, I agree that a distress flare would be a nice addition to the shops ^^

Bumping these again

Diplomatic Mission to the Lizardmen
Sponsor
: Scribel City Guild
Location: South of Scribel
Required Level: 3
Objectives:
  • Read this quest report.
  • Make contact with the Lizardmen (?) and offer gifts (will be provided by the Guild).
  • Determine if the Lizardmen are hostile and/or intelligent.
  • Update: Sightings of hostile lizard people in the southeast (source)
Rewards:
  • EXP: 280
  • Money: 50G
Save the Human Captives
Sponsor
: Scribel City Adventurer's Guild
Location: Southeast of Scribel City
Required Level: 4
Objectives:
  • Investigate the lizard settlement in the southeast region.
  • Save the human captives held by the lizard people.
  • Make contact or eliminate the lizard people.
Explanation:
We've received reports from an odd human about the lizard people settlement in the southeast region. Free the human captives and try to communicate with the lizard people. If it is not possible, eliminate them at all costs.

Read this report for reference.

Rewards:
  • EXP: 225
  • Money: 40G
  • Item: Luna Amulet (Increased Water Magic damage by 5%)
Title: Investigate Spire Reef (Pirate Country) (Party Recommended.)
Sponsor: The Adventures Guild
Location: Spire Reef
Required Level: 4
Objectives:
  • Read these reports (1)(2)
  • Investigate Spire Reef (Pirate Country) and report back.
  • Do not antagonize any local authorities. We do not need bad relations with a possible criminal organization.
Explanation:
With a recent report of likely illegal activities taking place in Spire Reef the guild would like information.
Rewards:
  • EXP: 350
  • Money: 40-90G
Establishing a Spy Network (Note: This quest unlocks a new region!)
Sponsor
: The Adventurer's Guild
Location: Spire Reef
Required Level: 5
Objectives:
  • Prerequisite quests: Investigate Spire Reef (Pirate Country)
  • Travel to Spire Reef as an undercover spy.
  • Locate GM's secret agent.
  • Deliver the Special Communication Device to the secret agent.
  • Complete the mission without blowing anyone's cover.
Description:
The Scribel City Council has determined that the pirate city of Spire Reef is a regional threat. However, our city is too small to antagonize the Pirate Kings and their vast armadas. We cannot risk war with the pirate empire. Instead, your superiors have determined that creating a spy network is essential for our best interests. Please deliver the Special Communication Device to our agent so we can establish a secret branch of the Adventurer's Guild in Spire Reef.

Rewards:
  • EXP: 350
  • Money: 60G
Diplomatic Mission to the Dwarf City of Gelderholm
Sponsor
: Scribel City Guild
Location: Very Far Northwest of Scribel (follow the river northwest)
Required Level: 3
Objectives:
  • Read this quest report (and this one for river course).
  • Make contact with the Dwarves (?) and offer gifts (will be provided by the Guild).
  • Determine if the Dwarves are hostile and/or intelligent.
Description:
Scribel currently lacks abundant resources of ore and metals. Reports have indicated that a dwarven city may lie far upstream on the river, potentially many days/weeks away. Establishing a trade relationship with this kingdom would be extremely beneficial for our city. Beware that pirates from the adjacent territory of Spire Reef have also been sighted on the river.

Rewards:
  • EXP: 300
  • Money: 50G

------

Note that the diplomatic mission to the lizard settlements south have also been bumped down from level 4 to level 3

I'm looking for people to take these quests!

I'm not planning to add many Scribel Region quests after levels 5 - 7, so people will be level capped unless we open at least one new region.

If we're able to open up at least one region/biome before the end of the weekend, that would be ideal for me (at least in terms of coming up with content), because I usually end up much busier on the weekdays.

But yeah, I wanted to get the demon investigation quest for a while now, because a priestess banishing a demon made sense and stuff~

... Though things took a different turn than my original plans~

I believe this should be 'don't' rather than do, just a typo I found unless my brain isn't working right now.
Thanks! Fixed! \(^^)/

... I never proofread quest reports, I just do that for when I'm writing novels... >.>

It saves a lot of time...
