Should I stop using ChatGPT for editing?

Do you know what really grinds my gears? When you pay for a service, and a bot tells you that it won't do the service you have paid for.
Anyway, sometimes ChatGPT tells me to take a hike, and doesn't edit my chapters. Most times it just flags them, but edits them anyway. Stuff like Mild Smut and Gore are allowed.
Skeleton sex is not. But I need it for the Plot.
So, do you guys think I should go back to the old days of editing, where I will do my best with only a grammar checker on my side? Would that improve my German faster? It would certainly save me money, that much is for certain. And I can always go back to looking up words on Word Hippo, I suppose.
No more VTM games with the chat, that much will be for certain. It was piss poor DM anyway.

Idk about GPT, but my editor uses the mix of Grammarly and Hemingway Editor. Grammarly is still bot tho

Grammarly is just for English. I do have two grammar checkers which I do use, though. One is LanguageTool and the other one is the Microsoft one.

Well, the Microsoft grammar checker is pretty good. It catches things that LanguageTool can't. And LanguageTool is excellent with punctuation. But I am not certain that they catch everything. Duden sucks, though. Then again, it is free.

Anyway. You can trick ChatGPT into editing your skeleton sex for plot™, but that takes time.

I say try to write with only a grammar checker, but to improve your skill in German, you still need someone or something who can point out sentences that sound a little off to a native speaker.

I did it! I waved it goodbye. It was useful at the start, when I still couldn't think so well in German, but now I don't need it anymore. Still, I will miss our VTM play sessions. It really tried to make them interesting.

Wordtune is another AI Editor, I think, and you can copy-paste chunks into its free editor to be reviewed by whatever bot it's got. It does pretty well if you're looking for that kind of robot feedback. I used it for a while but my chapters are massive and I think it was taking some of my personal author-tone out of the work, so I've gone back to regular hands-on editing.

I have two Novels, my first novel is edited with Grammarly, and the other one is edited by ChatGPT. But I think any grammar works better (if the story is good obviously), it doesn't matter if the grammar is bad, only matters is the story, but if your grammar is barely understandable, then use Grammarly to edit it

Normaly i worldn't condome bot abuse beheavor but if the bot doesn't do the job it was made to do then it's not a bot. It's junk, leave it.
