i would reccomend looking for help if you feel like life is too hard on you. You could try some hobby, anything from reading, playing video games, have a walk or just lie in bed and listen to some asmr.

or you could just wank your depression away with Doujin idk

I threw my trauma into a story and made it a power fantasy where things always work out, the MC has people she loves and love her back. Tragedy + Fluff = Winning

If you can't write, I would suggest some other creative hobby.

I would not suggest watching Edgerunners. :sweating_profusely:

If possible, get some me time. Whether it is reading books, watching movies, listening to music, or even just taking a walk.

Whatever makes you feel good, but this is only good in short term.

If whatever is bringing you down still burdens you, find someone, anyone, to talk to, even a pet.

Just the act of venting your emotions out works wonders, and you'll feel a little better.

As for emotional scars, from my experience, those can remain for a long period of time. The only advice I can give you is the common idiom, time heals.

As time goes on, whatever happened will not bother you as much, it is hard, life will throw many things at you, but if you can make it past whatever it is, much better things await you!!!

Just don't give up!!! (✿≧ᆺ≦)?

I've been in some state of depression for more than half of my life. TBH I 'd be dead if I wasn't dragged through life by my mom. There's no real fix for my problem though, so it's not like my depression will disappear either.

The best I got is to try and build some karma so the next life isn't as suck.

I usually go for a walk in the woods. I find that nature is very relaxing and is very good for dealing with depression. If you are in a city, well, I'm sorry. There's not much that can be done except getting out of the city.
Walking is good. It got me out of depression in first year of Uni. If you live on a city next to sea or ocean, just walk on the coastline, it is usually a bit loud, but nothing some music can't handle.

If it's just a feeling that comes and goes, more like occasional sadness, I play video or mobile games. They let my brain get distracted for something that doesn't require too much thinking. Even better if it's a game where you have to pay attention to the process; I personally prefer visual novels (like games by Buff Studio). Another option is reading an interesting book or watching a favourite film. I usually choose something that makes me feel comfortable (Howl's Moving Castle, for example). Watching favourite streamers or Youtubers may be a help as well, because those guys are usually very funny (for me it's WilburSoot, Malkiplier and Shoto).

If this occasional sadness comes very unexpectedly, as I'm doing something (usually drawing because when I draw, I'm all alone with my thoughts), got nothing better to do but to switch to better music. My mood gets affected by songs I listen to, so turning on stuff that can boost it is the only option for me. It also works if I just wander around the house, trying to distract myself and get rid of bad thoughts: just turning on the loud music and dancing (because if I keep thinking about sad things, I will just curl up and cry).

If this feeling is much more serious than sadness, and is rather depression, it haunts me constantly and makes me cry for no reason, I just sleep. Can't help but sleep. Thinking helps, for sure, if you can make yourself think of something good. I've always been alone with these feelings, so I've learned to reassure myself. Tell myself that the situation is actually not as bad as it feels, that nothing awful will happen if I fail, that no one cares about it more than I do, so why trouble myself... This helps a lot when you don't have anyone to rely on. If you have a close person you trust, talk to them. Then sleep anyway. Sleep cures lots of things. Take a walk in the very early morning (4-5 am) or evening (during twilight), if it's not too hot outside. You don't have to actually walk around if you don't feel like it, but something as simple as standing in the darkness of the twilight, listening to the sound of wind and feeling its cold gusts on your skin... It might help.

The sound of the ocean is wonderful and really relaxing. I prefer it over the woods but I'm stuck in the Midwest.
