BTW, pi is only infinite on paper. It is finite in reality.
The minimum distance anything can travel is the Planck distance. To get a wavelength less than that would require so much energy it would stop being a photon and becomes matter.
Therefore, there are no smooth curves.
If everything is a polygon, then, if you could actually create and measure the largest possible circle that could fit inside reality, then we could calculate the last digit of pi.
BTW, fun fact, if you calculate pi for a square, it is 4.
