Hello, everyone! I've been exploring various websites to find art and some ai tools for my novel, and I have to admit that those sites offering prompt-based generators are often unreliable. However, I've discovered that MidJourney is truly the best platform for practically any type of art, including landscapes, 3D, Maps and character portraits. The only downside is that it requires payment, which can be frustrating.
If you're a bit tech-savvy and have a powerful desktop, I recommend trying Stable Diffusion. You can easily run it on your setup, and you can find builds on platforms like GitHub and Hugging Face. These platforms have trained some reliable builds based on Stable Diffusion, and there are also official ones available if you're interested. It's worth giving them a try if you can.
Other websites that offer similar services either charge money or provide subpar-generated images. Personally, I wasn't satisfied with their results. However, if you're looking to create high-quality art without any hassle, I strongly recommend going with MidJourney and paying for their services. I can personally vouch for their fantastic artwork. Alternatively, you can join MidJourney and communicate with other users to request permission to use their generated images. Please note that the response you receive will depend on the individual, but I believe many would be willing to agree.
If you're tech-savvy, you can also opt for Stable Diffusion. Run it on your own device and create as much art as you want. There's a large user community supporting this platform, and the best part is that it's completely free. They create builds specifically tailored to characters or different art styles, allowing you to choose and download the ones you need. However, keep in mind that open-source software usually has a learning curve. I recommend researching and understanding the process before delving into your system's command prompt. Take your time to find and download the necessary files, and then run the system.
I hope this information proves helpful to the community. If any of you know of any sources that generate free, usable art, please share them here. It would greatly benefit me and other people searching for similar resources. Peace!
Hope this helps
