Well I haven't read his books that much but I do know about mistborn and stormlight archive. I also didn't know that his writing screenplays?

Overall, if he will adapt his books to movies. I hope he can truly put his great writing, world building, and story telling into the wide screen.

Mistborn is easier to read, for sure. Stormlight has a steeper learning curve for the world building and stuff. It's a massive world for an epic fantasy. Not a good recommendation for a beginner. I started with Mistborn. It's a trilogy, but I'm already used to long-running serials, so this is no problem for me. It's one of his better series. Check it out.

I'm reading the first book right now actually. Seems like something that would make a good series to me, maybe a Netflix or HBO adaptation. Interesting world, logical magic system, interesting characters. With one of the major themes being, "Slavery is bad actually" I think I would do well.

Um... okay. Not sure how you'd go about adapting a book where plantation owners beat their slaves to death, but whatever.

I liked the Mistborn series, however everything Hollywood touches a book series in the past decade they've ruined it i.e. Wheel of Time.

Animation would be wayyyy cooler, in my opinion, and with less risk as well. Epic fantasy is very expensive when it comes to live action.

Animated series or movies like Arcane or The Last Wish would be perfect for Sanderson's writing.

I don't trust them to screw up the big twist and the ending, tho, especially if they do live action.

I kinda don't care a out any of this, guys...
Is that bad?
Sanderson's books seemed fun from the little I read, but I think they're a little too out there for live action. Some would need so much CGI, it'd look like animated live action Lion King.

That said, I don't have much faith in Hollywood. They haven't exactly been great for the last few years.

Does anyone remember that whole thread a while ago about trying to "standardize entertainment"?
They try to make everything "not bad" by making it look all the same.
They try to make it be fun by being "inclusive", "progressive", and generic as hell, thus not actually including anyone and boring eveyone.
It's all very difficult to enjoy for me.

I for one cannot wait for a birthing person lead that is perfect in every way, right about everything, and oppressheded by huwite males. The story will be where she is awesome and right, some men don't listen to her. Everything turns to shit, the bad guy is a woman and they discover the villainess was just misunderstood, and then the MC will realize she was already perfect and save the day while everyone tells her how strong, smart, and funny she is.

10/10 would edge to it again
Much stun. Much brave.

Most adaptations suck and don't even bother being true to their source material nowadays.

Agreed. I think animation is better. Heck, anime, if possible! The cost is lower, so less risk as well. But he doesn't wanna do it, I think, because animation in Hollywood is kinda treated as kid's entertainment.

Wow! Been a long time since I saw someone's hopes and dreams crushed in real time. I look forward to seeing his creation raped before his very eyes with much anticipation!

*STARES OFF INTO NOTHING*
*THE SOUND OF DISTANT CONFLICT AND ESCALATING SCREAMS OF DENIAL SLOWLY BUILDS*
*A 50% OPACITY OVERLAY OF THE TV SHOW HALO, BATWOMAN, AND WILLOW ALL SUPERIMPOSE THEMSELVES IN QUICK SUCCESSION*

I dunno about that...
