Well, putting your crude, off-putting, and "free-thinking" views about current media aside, I appreciate that Jenna Ortega (Wednesday’s actress) is a surprisingly huge fan of One Piece.
First of all: How rude to call me crude! But please explain what you mean about off-puting and "free-thinking" as most of my comment was made to just disrespect the works and not to anger anyone outside the people that did the movies, is it the "social justice league" one? That was an actually intended crude attempt at disrespecting both DC fans and everyone that actually is for or against using that word. I personally don't care who or what you are if what you do is good/bad enough.
And Batman getting even more remakes isn't something we need, The Dark Knight was good enough. But I personally just don't like the whole superhero thing.
Though I will defend my opinion that the Disney Star Wars were an utter clusterfuck created by people that wrote on low-level fanfiction tier and had the goal to actually destroy the franchise for good. How hard can it be to not fuck up an existing franchise??? And no Hollywood, you don't get the right to answer that, you already effed up enough series...
But yeah, Jenna Ortega is pretty cool and I actually liked her raising her voice about the mistakes the story and direction caused in Wednesday. They kinda missed the boat going full teenage drama in the middle of the show and forced her to play both a typical teenage girl and frigging Wednesday Addams at the same time, there was only one way to screw up an Addams Family character and they acutally did it... they tried to humanize her.
A show can be perfect on all accounts but the moment forced teenage drama gets introduced or they try to humanize characters whose best traits were being utterly irredeemable, I'm out and on warpath with the storyboard.

Pretty much. The old guard was somewhat more extreme than what's currently politically acceptable, and so it seems their 'heirs' try to do everything they can
in their works to prove that their
personal political agenda does not conform with it.
Totally ignoring that you can be a racist asshole terrorist and still be able to make timeless classics as a work should always be allowed to exist to be free from it's creator since othwerwise we'd have to burn 99% of everything because their creator did or said something that at one point in time didn't conform with the views of a later time period.
