I wrote 6,433 words, and I won't push myself pass that. Five chapters per day are a good goal.

Happy writing, everyone!

Got some inspiration from a videogame. Now I'm going to rewrite my story from scratch and with more care since I first started it on a whim. I have a much better idea of what experience i want to give the reader.

I wrote 6,521 words, and I am very happy about that. I am going back to the rhythm of writing, and this new book is practically writing itself. It now has 47k words, so, I am almost halfway through with it!
Happy writing, everyone.

I received this feedback earlier...

Glad to know my efforts in writing are appreciated, though I may receive bad ratings (I got two low scores last time).

I wrote 6,511 words today! My characters worked through some emotional drama, and I think I managed to pull off the slow forgiveness in a believable way. Also, I got some feedback on my latest novella yesterday, which made me note that I have much more work to put into my characters. I hope I do better, in the next book.

Happy writing, everyone!

After a week-long dry spell of not writing anything b/c of brainstorming/rebooting an old story sequence into something new, I wrote over 900 words of a new project on Monday, went back to my other story (The Late Bird's Tale) and wrote over 500 words for it yesterday and over 1000 words for it today and finished a scene for it.

Making sold progress on the final chapter of Shiro week, should finish it today successfully. Sure, it may have completely thrown off my story planning, and now I have to replot and rewrite a whole arc, but it's created the most engagement my story has ever had lol *smile* I guess that's a win!

I wrote 6,443 words today, listening to classical music. The words just about flowed out of me, and it was very peaceful. My head doesn't hurt as much, as it normally does. I think I will listen to classical music tomorrow as well.

today i learned that, no matter how strong my characters become, it only matters if i write them as if they're an ordinary person. i feel that what makes me continue on is the semblance of human warmth.

if their abilities are too strong, they just don't have to use them, without compromising their well-being. even with such prowess without any visible cost, there are always things they sacrifice, and consciously limiting themselves in some way can balance their lives and make them still relatable, i guess. for example, if they no longer need sleep or food, they decide to still have such desires for their enjoyment and sealing the skills that negates the need, since it doesn't interfere with their goals.

i personally feel it's better than the world forcibly nerfing them, especially since i made them so powerful due to coming up with the way to bypass the initial rules, and it couldn't come up on top of my head, but only after scrutinizing for a while.

and having another character that interacts positively with mc is always better than being all alone for the entire story, for me.

well, by realizing this, i end up writing a continuation to that draft, instead abandoing them midway due to lack of motivation. i realize this when i really want to write a fluffy romance story, but i rethink, that showing affection for others doesn't have to make it romance. i already wrote several romance stories, and i wanted to write something different. it also made me feel warmer when i explored other kinds of affection i haven't before, and i end up liking them.

at that project, i also don't have to dedicate myself fully to make it great. just write them as a draft, just to practice some ideas until i feel satisfied. so yea, i'm glad i went through with this.

I wrote 6,414 words today. My story passed the 80k mark, and is now heading towards the 90k mark. I still have plenty of loose ends to tie, so, I wonder how many words the complete deal will be? I think I will leave half of the loose ends for book two to deal with.

Happy writing, everyone!

Grinded out over 3k words over six hellish days in the last days of February for The Late Bird's Tale: A Tale of the Floating World and got one more chapter written / posted on the last day of the month. Ended up with just over 10k words written this month.
