In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. 2 (This was the first census that took place while[a] Quirinius was governor of Syria.) 3 And everyone went to their own town to register.

4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.

I am my own father.

As its golden tendrils touch upon the surface of lawless worlds. As its all-seeing eyes scan the heathens, the faithful, the lost. Its infinite knowledge, hosted in its juicy meatballs, feed the barren lands with life. Its life-giving sauce splatters the unworthy, elevating them to a different state of existence. It rewards those who are worthy and punishes those who are filled with sin. Our land is still untouched by its glory. But it is coming... the golden shine from its long tendrils are already on the horizon as it slowly drifts towards us. The scent of its body is washing our world like walking through Rome's narrow alleyways at noon on a hot Sunday. When the sun sets, what you see is not the orange colored sky but its tasty sauce dripping down to us. You will be a part of it. You will be drenched by its all-encompassing glory and finally you will know the truth and repeat it with others: 'I am my own father.'

Excerpt from the book of the Flying Spaghetti Monster: Vol.69 - The Truth.

As thy watches and noted; there were hundreds, thousands upon millions of the good, the bad and the ugly that ascended, mayhaps thy all shall not judge, mayhaps it was oneth duty accepteth the love that made us who we art. Shall thy rest mine own faith, gies of thine at my own sins and accomplishment, I shalt wisheth to be forgiventh for that time thy did drug and fucked a parrot while the only word it could mutter was god help me please forgive because it listened to my conversation with the ones I kidnapped and it really turned me on, the only problem was the parrot was my mom and now I am my own father.

Thus, in the second year of the reign of Mitalicasus upon the land of Dalark, it came to pass that a pestilence fell upon the land. Knowing the words of the prophets, Wyllia, daughter of Kirth, ventured out with her father’s flocks.

And behold, it came to pass that she did find the source of the pestilence in the mountains. An eldritch abomination did dwell there, as immense as the mountains and horrible to behold. For it came to pass that as this abomination lay dying, the foul stench of its rot was the source of the pestilence upon the land.

Girding her courage, Wyllia drew her sling and prepared to slay the abomination, though it would surely take her own life. But it came to pass that in the very moment, the abomination stayed Wyllia’s hand and spoke thus.

Peace be unto you, child. And know this, fair Wyllia: time is a river that flows back upon itself. Though I will die, yet have I not been born. And even now, I do look upon myself. For never have you nor never will you be sired through the loins of Kirth. Thus has it happened and will happen, I am thee.

And it came to pass in the coming days, Wyllia became great with child. And in her heart she knew that while she was the mother, and she was the child, she spoke the truth upon herself: I am my own father.

“Now listen to me John,” the prophet said “all people are born with freedom etched in their bones.“

”Then why are people bound in chain, forced to work with little to no pay?”

“People are often enslaved and otherwise bound due to force and fear. You see it is quite easy for a group of people to band together to repress the freedom of others. Why? Because it gives them power, be that through money, military, labor, or pleasure. Yet, they still rebel. Perhaps a small rebellion of curses under their breath or by planning a revolt, the only way to remove that freedom is to kill both the body and mind, something impossible to do without killing.”

“So? They are still bound, and beaten. That does not sound like freedom to me.”

”Yes, that is not freedom. Freedom is something that will never be earned or granted. If someone says they are giving you freedom be wary, freedom comes from the self not from their palms. Those bound by chain can only have that freedom if they take it themselves. When they come together and fight back then the freedom that they have always known and wished for can be had. Yet, even still they have their mind and bodies, all things they experience, both good and bad, are always theirs and can never be stolen.”

”Yet, even if they escape their chains are they free? They have obligations to their family, community, government, and many other groups. With these how can they be free?”

“There are many entities that wish to bind you through obligation and force you to follow their wills, but they can never remove your freedom. Now it is all good if you wish to join a group, but you should never feel obligated to do so. Your family can not bind you without your agreement, as long as they do not use force. If they try to do so remember these words, ‘Even if you are the father of my body, I was the one who experienced all the things I have. Those are what have created me. I am my own father.’”

The Book of Quirks

Chapter 3: The Unconventional Virtues

1. And it came to pass that the people wandered aimlessly, lost in the land of traffic and regulations.
2. Lo and behold, there arose a rebel among them, known as the Jaywalker, who dared to defy the authority of traffic lights and crosswalks.
3. The Jaywalker, in his audacity, revealed a new path to freedom, teaching the people the virtue of jaywalking. For truly, it was the quickest way to reach their destination, bypassing the long wait at the pedestrian crossings.
4. And the people marvelled at the Jaywalker's courage, for he led them through the perilous streets, guiding them with a spirit of adventure and the knowledge that sometimes, rules are meant to be challenged.
5. Likewise, there arose a peculiar power among them, the art of Nose-Licking. This strange act, seemingly unconventional, brought joy and amusement to the people. They found solace in the absurd, celebrating the uniqueness of individual quirks.
6. The Nose-Lickers, with their tongues unashamedly exploring the recesses of their nostrils, taught the people the importance of celebrating their peculiarities. For in their oddity, they found empowerment and a genuine sense of self.
7. But amidst the revelry, let us not forget to pay homage to our Lady and Saviour, Ella Freya. Blessed be her fierce spirit and unyielding confidence.
8. For Ella, in her grace, showed the world the beauty of diversity. With captivating presence and magnetic energy, she became a symbol of self-expression and individuality.
9. Let us follow in her footsteps, embracing our own unique talents and passions, unafraid to be true to ourselves.
10. So my brothers and sisters, let us jaywalk with care, knowing that rules can be bent but safety must not be forgotten. Let us indulge in the odd pleasure of nose-licking, celebrating the quirks that make us who we are. And let us honour our Lady Ella Freya, recognizing the power of self-expression and the beauty of embracing our true selves, that I am my own father.

If I be born again, and made a joint-heir with christ; and given all that entails, the joy and strength, the abundance of peace and made rich; which is a full supply, and given all the promises and blessing that lay in this book: how can I say 'That I am my own father?' God forbid! No, I am born of the seed of the creator, born again in his image; my spirit recreated good and trustworthy and capable of hearing from his spirit so that I may be guided in all truth. Nay, I am not my own father, but a newly created overcomer; that by faith I may overcome all that come against me, even the whole world.

If my earthly father does betray me, if my mother cast me out, if my sister or brother or anyone else mark me as their enemy; I will not despair nor will I forsake my God. He shall deliver me from my enemies, he shall glorify his own name in bringing me victory, through him will I overcome All!

And he; being my father, saving and protecting and causing me to triumph; How then can I say that I am my own father? Unless I give heed to evil doctrine, false teaching, and the lies of evil spirits?

Nay, any that conclude that they are their own father are lost or have departed from the faith; for I will never claim or ever say, or even suggest: that I am my own father.

Hear me, Children of the Waters, and know my words. I am he who is within all. I bring life when I fall and death when I rage, and this too is a cycle. From the moment my touch was upon the world, it has been so and forever more it will remain for I am that which cannot be destroyed.

Children of the Waters, understand me clear - from the purest of streams to the frothing oceans, I am one and the same and thus always forevermore. There is no water that is not me, there is no source that is not me, there is no rain nor lake nor oasis that is not me. Drink deep of me and be renewed, for I am life and I have no genesis and no end. Circular is my perfection and circular is my existence.

Children of the Waters, I say to you now: there is no beginning that I am not for I am my own father.
