People's minds are moving a mile a minute these days, so looks truly do count, especially online.
Your Title, Synopsis, and Cover Art are the first things people see, so make a good impression.
Death of Magic is okay, I guess. But personally, I wouldn't pick up a book with such an artless title, but that's just me. If I were the author, I'd try something like Dragonheart, Flame & Spell, or something cool or stunning man I don't know.
Your synopsis doesn't grab attention at all, either. No thought-provoking questions or interesting facts. Your summary is supposed to grip and tug me into turning to the next page... And you don't really leave anything for interpretation. Like, you basically explained why the dragon is hunting the girl (for food), the main characters
Before humans or magic, there were dragons. Casting looming shadows above the seas and earth, they ravished lands and ate any magical beings caught in their trail with raptorial intent. With magic ceasing to exist and the last of the magical beings falling with it, the world is tipped in an uncertain balance between drakes and sorcery. While discovering the secrets of the disappearing magics, will fate bind Saoirse with an unusual scaled companion?
That's just an example. Leaves it up for interpretation, not too much explanation, and a question at the end for readers to answer. We don't say what's going to happen, but we let the reader know that we know, that they know what's going to happen. You get me?
OR... Or... You can just forget putting any thought into it and slap a young miss on the cover art. Commissioned some covers for my books and my views went up instantly, and I don't even write porn. I promise you, these guys love looking at females, even if it isn't smut it's crazy.
And this better not be true. That's like pretensing sex by offering the sensation of orgasm at the start, then expecting me to get in the covers and do the work. Bitch, I already came. Why the fuck am I 'bout to fuck for, I already nutted??
