even pain becomes a pleasure then, but the human body can only be stimulated so much. Eventually, all things become numb to you. My main character is like that. It allows for quite a lot of freedom when nothing can truly hurt him since he's already endured inhuman pain to the point he even insanity became boring to him..

Lol i loved that part of Dr. Paradox from Ben 10 so i worked it in, and it does make sense for immortal characters. I imagine they'd be VERY jaded individuals, desperate for some entertainment. Something to destracted from eternity. Until they just choose to sleep and fade into eternity

This is basically my theory behind the Looney toons that they are all immortal beings that got together and figured out that they can't die so they decided to make their eternal suffering as entertaining as possible by playing silly but deadly pranks and gags on each other hoping that one day one of their stupid plays will actually result in their true death

Sounds reasonable, like honestly. Maybe not actually having any expectations of getting true death, but just to get some excitement.

There is a manga that explores that, called Killing Me / Killing You.

I highly recommend reading it, the art and the story is good, it is about two immortals trying to die in fucked up world.
