Author from WN here(just fanfics tho)... Yeah, I didn't know Webnovel was so toxic when I started :))) The best part about it is that ppl can spam 1-star reviews on a book they don't like(I was lucky enough to avoid that tho, mostly)

I'm not sure if this migration will be permanent tho, cuz I dunno if WN will stick with their choice. Though some readers are bound to remain here, especially if they find a story they like :)) Let's hope toxicity doesn't transfer over tho.

I'm pretty sure if there are troll/toxic reviews you can report them for spam on ScribbleHub. That's something a little different from a website like Webnovel. However, I've reported forum users for dropping the N-word in this forum, and nothing was done about them, so... it's not a 100% chance, and you might have to appeal.

Word-dropping the 'n-word' as you said it, is rarely punished because it's just a word. It is punished if and only if it's mentioned with malice or intended to cause conflict. If Ai-chan say, "Damn nigga! Yo' shit is phat, ma man!" at @CupcakeNinja , nothing will be done about it even if you report it, as its intention is not promoting racism or causing offense.

Americans have a habit of getting offended over every single thing (well, to be honest not just Americans). If 'nigger' is banned, then we have to ban 'fuck', 'shit', 'damn', 'bitch' and 'black' too. Yes, there are people who get offended at being called black. To some people, being called ginger is offensive too. See, the list of banned words will never end. Someone will always be offended. So Tony has taken the stance of, if it's not meant to be malicious, just leave it.

You can also delete things(reviews, comments) in webnovel. At least you could do it before. That's why a majority of stories there have a 4.4+ rating. A lot of WN authors delete every little bit of criticism and almost every review with a rating below 4.
