So, this is something I realised today while remembering my experience with school clubs.

Clubs are very hard if you are a newbie.

Like, you would have to pray to God that one of your seniors is kind enough to teach you the basics, otherwise half of the members are absent while other half is so passionate about the subject they are disgusted you haven't won any medals yet.

So can you think of any way of making this after school experience better?

Never joined many clubs except the technology club and the chess/board game club... First wasn't that bad, middle school tech club is just doing some extra woodworking projects and such, and i just went to chess/board game club to play a certain card game with my one friend. While everyone else played chess and went to tournaments. Was a great time. Mostly just stayed after school at the library to play shitty web games with my friends. Also did accounting club with one of my friends for a year or two, since we were the only two who did it.

I find the best clubs have a bit of heft to them, but are best when used one handed.

... my school has a kpop, cosplay and anime clubs. The first one is nice to newbies but you have to like they same idols they do. or else. Cosplay club is very friendly, a guy was wearing a rem cosplay while selling cookies in spring fest (school event). Anime club is for people who are obsessed otherwise it's kinda boring to be there.
