Was planning to ask who you dislike the most, Sugou Nobuyuki or Iok Kujan? Then what is your most memorable POS insignificant villain, other than Dolores Umbridge, in fiction (shows and literature).

But reading a work that featured a afraid-to-die, crazy talented and crazy prepared MC has made me want to write out this incomprehensible rant, grammar be damned.

I am always a sucker for invincible MCs, especially if they earned it and have shown their efforts. I can enjoy a crazy prepared MC if I somehow not yawn through the three chapters of 5k words each, painfully depicting how they make their kryptonite gum that they will definitely have the chance to spit into Superman's eye.

I dislike the lack of any explanation, of how they got themselves ready in the first place, how they are able to predict that their enemies' main weakness is tabasco without any foreshadowing or even introduction and worst of all, just saying one-liner shits like "cuz MC is a genius".

Crap. Fuck.

So you want it actually to be balance. Where the author explain it enough on how the MC prepared the fight while not going for a one-liner that he/she is a genius in finding the opponent weakness.

as someone who watched the anime, i feel he just have decent brain compared to most isekai MC and his 'carefulness' is more of a running joke.

if he's actually careful he shouldn't destroy that thing in the first episodes but also destroying the town as a result. he could also act more low-key as well.

and despite his 'preparation' he ended up getting caught off-guard by the villains and nearly lost to the Demon King. I feel it's still plot armor he end up winning in the end.

and given how incompetent the gods are, it's a wonder how they still survived at this point if not plot armor as well. not to mention his companions kinda dragged him down.

but yeah, couldn't nitpick that too much since it's a comedy and i admit the jokes can be pretty good. tho it's long ago since i watched it so my memory can be rather hazy.
