I found this story literally like a few days ago, "Even Though I Was Reborn as the Future Queen, I Decided to Live Quietly Instead".
It was getting kinda good, I was thinking abt leaving a review of it, but it vanished.

@Selkie wrote the story. I don't wanna like, call them out or anything; I know it's their right to remove their works as they so choose. I'm not going to begrudge them that and neither should anyone else. That would be a d*ck move.

With the little disclaimer out of the way I just wanna let them know that their story was really good imo and I wish it was back so I could read it. It barely got started but there was so much potential in the concept and setting. Thanks for creating what you did when you did, and I hope to see you write again in the future, whether it be with this story or another.

Edit: Lol wait apparently it was an unauthorized translation. :/
Well that sucks.

While I acknowledge the story was good and will miss it, it is every author's right to disable their account. We don't know if they were being stalked or harassed, or if they were dealing with overwhelmingly negative criticisms-- it's happened to other amazing content creators too. An outpouring of love is accompanied by an outpouring of hatred. As a woman in the creative sphere, I've been sexually harassed for my projects before. It happens. I'm not saying it's the reason, but... well, it's possible.

It's also possible they found a publisher who asked them to pull their story down. No matter what the reason, we should support their right to disable their account.

It’s their right to be able to take down their work as they please and all that. But honestly, I would have appreciated some kind of announcement (of course, this is not something they have to do. Just something I would have preferred so that I have some closure)

I recently took down a story there were 20-30 people following closely, I can tell you this, writing is stressful. Focusing on more than one story at a time is hard. I don’t know the reason selkie took it down as it was also on my reading list but the other story this person has written that is up is doing much better.

Could be a focusing issue. Either way I’m sure they will be happy to see you letting them know you liked their story.

I was litterally just about to make a post about this. I found the novel and was really getting into it. I hope the author decides to post again at some point.

Apparently the novel was a translation from russian, from a different named author. Now that author started their upload here in SH of their novel.
And today the novel came up again as a new one, with that new author using the reversed name of the original author.

To clarify, the original author has 2 volumes completed and the 3rd in progress, in russian. And there's commissioned art for the covers.
Make of that what you will.

Edit: And seemingly after I noticed, the disappeared one and the latest one with the author's reversed name tried to circumvent the relation by not using the actual translated title, but one somewhat different enough to not have people connect the dots.

Ah so I take it that it was an unauthorized translation? I did manage to find the new versions that are posted, but if they are unauthorized I expect they will get removed as well. Are there any authorized translations of the novel that exist?

It's on scribblehub under the name of 'Seduce the hero’s mother'. The author is meredit and she also is on royal road, the story is called 'My reincarnation as the deposed queen' there. However her stories are completed only in boosty.
