Okay, this is a weird question, alright. I used Grammarly to write my recent chapter and while it no longer contains grammatical errors and possibly misspellings compared to my previous chapters, it feels too formal.

It feels like I'm writing a business letter, not a novel. I'm using it right now.

I believe that in the settings, you can decide what type of occasion you wish to use grammarly for. It should also have a tone detector if you use the extension.

You can customize it so that it doesn't seem like a business letter. Also if you want a good book then grammarly is a pretty good idea to have.
Yes. You can customize it.
Just like what @SailusGebel said

I use it for preliminary editing. At a certain point of English proficiency, your eyes just start glazing over obvious mistakes as your brain automatically fixes any mistake you read without you knowing. Grammarly catches those moments for me.

Absolutely, I'm currently using it in writing the first chapter of my first work! So far so good I must say.

Best thing a novice writer can do to improve their writing is to shorten their sentences. And grammarly help do that to some extent.

It kills your voice. Though, if you want to use it, then use it wisely. You don’t have to follow every suggestion. Be intentional about it. Grammatical errors are signs of poor writing, but intentional grammatical errors are signs of artistic; follow your gut.
This exactly. You don't have to use it to write your story. Just let it fix the comma mistakes and stuff like that.

Yes, please use it. Ai-chan uses it to detect possible grammatical errors or double words or awkwards sentences when Ai-chan is about ready to publish. It's just a suggestion, Ai-chan often ignores their suggestion if Ai-chan feels it doesn't fit what Ai-chan wants to say. It's better to use it than not.

The free version is pretty barebone, the premium is way better IMHO.
