For those of you writing a fantasy story (any kind, really, from isekai to Tolkein to dark fantasy and occult detective fantasy), what kinds of organizations have you used?

Like, for my story, The Late Bird's Tale: A Tale of the Floating World, I use the Muse Bureau and the Reaper Bureau as examples. The Reaper Bureau deals with soul-reaping spirits, but the Muse Bureau encompasses many different folklores from kami, ghosts, occult detectives, yokai of all kinds, etc. The Muse Bureau in my story acts like a supernatural cop organization that deals with the dreams and nightmares of various dreamers.

What about you?

I haven't thought of a name for it yet, so I've stuck with the Phantom Organization.

Basically its made up of a certain race from outer space whose main goal is to suck up and use all the mana in said world where the protagonist was isekaied.

The union, a group of racially motivated people that controls the lower floors of the tower, and of course, my personal favorite that I’m actually a member of, the Loli Slayer Corporation

There's the Old Court; a bunch of extremists who wanted to revive the old human supremacy empire and in their possession is the human emperor sword (name is debatable). Fyi these bunch of cunts are basically the Enclave in Fallout who don't consider the current humans or anyone below the tax bracket as "true humans".

There is also Polaris, a bunch of dudes who stole tech and knowledge from the old empire and trying to start up their own age of empire. They disguise themselves as the merchant coalition and using the Belt and Road trick, they had almost toppled the OC and is now back in hiding after their failed attempt to steal the holy sword.

Then there are the standard clusters of nations, unwilling to join back to OC, forming the Demon-Beast Alliance that is trying their best to foil whatever the plan OC is having.

Also, the Realm of Old Gods and the apostles. Hilariously, the reason why the old empire fell is because the first and final human emperor refused to bow anymore to the gods and tried to rid them. He failed as the Old Gods had proven to be more formidable than he was.

A lot really. But I know I did reference the illuminati in the original civvy and neet as a joke

Just name them after the planet they are from. Astrean order or Astrean Co-opt if they are from Astrea

A kingdom ruled by a semi-divine being that uses another semi-divine being as energy scource for hero summonings. Knight-States where might and meritocracy rule and a nation of commerce and exploration situated at the end of the currently known world.

For organisations I have two churces fighting against each in the shadows other for the sake of the world, the royal family and their god-king, the Round Table, who are the leaders of the knight-states, the merchant Union and Secret Society Schadenfreude, which was created as a drunk joke by one of my protagonists but somehow got powerful enough to be a major player

They don't have a name, but there's a group of specialist apothecaries attached to the College whose job is to make and then force magic-suppressants down certain people's throats every month. Need a name.....
