Usually they always qualify superhero stories as science fiction, but yeah supernatural does fit, most of the time the worlds of these superheroes showcase insane things that can only be compared with fantasy

Did he get his power from demons? Yes.
Did he get his power from Jesus? Yes.
Did he fight biblical demons? Probably not.
Did he fight ghosts? Yes.
Did he fight vampires? Probably yes.
Did he use ghosts to defeat opponent? Yes.

Spiderman, Xmen, Superman, etc... are clearly in the realm of fantasy and supernatural, no matter how many quantum, radioactive, genetic, alien, etc... words they may throw around...

Batman and Ironman are still in the scifi realm... at least early on... but, when ironman suits were folding into forms that fit into your pocket, or just folding out of existence entirely and then back again... by then, ironman is firmly in the realm of fantasy and supernatural as well...
