Just spent forever writing a chapter, started to with the flow and pick up the pace. Finally settled down at bit around 900 words. Was going to finish up and finally release chapter on time, only for my chromebook to 'Unexpectedly restart' :). I feel utmost pain. I must kill, something

Ai-chan use WPS Office. Write some stuff, save as a document. Then when computer die, the last autosave will be recovered.

Then what about trying this thing here? I heard that while isekai traffic is low nowadays, it's still advisable to try electric shock therapy first so that you can gain good elemental attunement.

Oh, and if this joke doesn't help your mood, then I advise you to watch some cat video or something, and just take a while away from writing until you calm down. after all, it's really hateful when a chapter you worked on so hard get suddenly lost, I know cause a chapter of 1.3 K word of mine did it..... though it reappeared again, thanks to auto-saving,.... but Cough, I didn't know the app had such function...

I just lost half of the chapter I was working on about two hours ago, just got finished rewriting it. Life is pain.

Sorry for your loss
Oh, you can also save your drafts, so I would advise doing that once every 200-300 words

And kids, this is why I have a distrust in word docx and a compulsive disorder to ctrl+s every paragraph or two.

Can't do that now on mobile though.

Like I do usually save every paragraph, but I just got in a bit of trance. Was going to save the 900 words only for my chromebook to cuck me.

Control + S is your friend.
And I don't know about everyone else, but Google Docs takes forever to load on long Documents. Sometimes it feels like I could type the amount of words I would lost in Word by the time Docs page finally loads.

That's why I draft things in a paper notebook. Also, I find that I make better edits when I type it all later. It keeps me from keeping bad shit just because I already wrote it once.

Do you write your chapters in-browser? Why not use smth like libre office or, the decisively less based choice, word?
