Limbs are pretty useful, 2 arms two legs, simple, basic, boring. We all know that many forms of life are clearly underutilizing their limbed potential, we must fix this.
moar armFor a normal human who is used to having 2 hands and 2 legs? That is also the optimal number. If you slap an extra pair of hands on a normal human, their brain might overload from the extra stress.
But for someone or something who can handle them? As many as Avalokiteshvara's.
So 2 legs no arms, 1 arm 1 leg, or no legs 2 arms? Two is best, else you'd be a filthy Xeno. That, or an amputee.

Bit cheaty, often feels like the want to have their limbs and eat them too. And it’s often just like a scary arm, and not using the concept well like it being a full on meta-physical monster anchored in a body. Like imagine in elfen lied (I should make a thread about that manga/anime) instead of the horned girls having invisible arms, they had invisible ten legged tigger (or a Berserk apostle) that grew out from them and got like 8 meters long, that would make it so the “monster with the form of a little girl” point was stronger.I would like to ask about your opinion of limbs that are not physical in nature, but psionic projections (Elfen Lied?).
