I like talking about breastfeeding. The CDC recommends breastfeeding for one year or longer, and the WHO recommends breastfeeding for two years or longer. In some cultures, it's common to breastfeed for about five years. Based on how long bonobos (our closest relatives in the animal kingdom) nurse their offspring, five years should be ideal for our species. However, we have a habit of taking milk from cows, and the people who sell milk from cows make money doing that, so they convinced the CDC to tell people that it's OK for 1-year-olds to drink cow's milk instead of human milk.

Part of the problem is a lack of paid maternity leave. Part of the problem is cultural:

Oh. I always thought it is just the males because of how much semen they ejaculate over the 30 minutes frame. Never really thought that the females are the same since the study of female orgasms (especially humans) are still lacking.
