I feel like some person out there should've written a story where mc is a monumental waste of space (from perspective of other characters) and has no redeeming qualities, but they enjoy life their own way without a need for validation or outside purpose.
That seems like an interesting concept to explore but I myself am too lazy to write it, so I decided to see if it has been done already. Published novels are fine too, and maybe even foreign webnovels as long as mtl is an option.

Perhaps you can elaborate on who you consider a waste of space, maybe an example of such MC? Is it about having no friends and being disliked by everyone? Does it count if everyone else don't care about MC instead of hating him\her?

Every character should either have no opinion about mc or feel they possess no redeeming qualities and are overall useless human (or some other) being. Someone whose sense of values is so shockingly different from the rest of the cast, the cast can't even try to somehow understand them
