Chinese novels are trash!

There are some good ones, but those are a drop of water compared to the ocean of copies of copies, sign-in novels, the ooh look I upgrade things type of novels, and so on. Even if you find the good ones, many are at best decent. It's kinda sad since some could be amazing if done well.

BL isn't inherently bad, the one I read is at least interesting.

I agree with manhua being bad. I've found some that I can read for more than a few chapters but it's rare. Many have that artstyle that I just can't help but dislike for some reason. Also, some that I found good turned out to be manhwa.

To be fair, most Chinese novels I read are xianxia, and I mostly see these novels from webnovel so maybe these problems are because of that?

Well, it's just preference. I love Chinese novels a lot and all them is bl and they are really good. I can't say anything for non-bl c-novels, Donghua and Manhua but whatever I've read really made me love them so much. Read any of the below I've mentioned then come to talk again.

I didn't forget 'Thousand Autumns'. I've written the Chinese name (Qian Qiu) of it.

And about MDZS and SVSSS, I didn't include the two novels because I think TGCF is better than the first two books of MXTX. No offense but I just think like that even though mdzs is my favourite danmei of all time and MXTX is my goddess.

I only forgot Beloved Enemy. Thanks for reminding me about it...

Yes! Meat bun is a goddess. She knows exactly what she has to do to make her readers cry or feel any other emotions.

Xianxias to me is always a mediocre timewaster. I read it to see how the author can bring new interpretations to the mpreg, from the concept of sucking air to have a cancerous embryo in your abdomen, it is the horrible things that the characters have to do to achieve godhood that keeps me mildly entertained.

Then there is of course the murderhobo portions that many litRPGs copied, stuff like justified genocide and people heralding you as a god instead of using every efforts they have to erase the vile disease that is the MC.

Perhaps I did it wrong, but I always love the technicality of sword techniques and kungfu styles more than interpersonal relations and politics in the work, how the author will brag and boast their MC's skills and the cultivation technique with its bells and whistles are the main points I focus, not the angst and drama ahead.

Which is why I enjoy KR Second Life Regressor and his uber cool Hundred Eyes Armor with its hundred eyes and Reincarnator's world layers and their cool stuff to be added into Hansoo (a bland generic name in KR) like the metal body and God Hammer.

It is the same in xianxia, seeing MC mastering the Green Dragon Body Tempering Technique and smacking someone with it is a lot more fun to me than the standard BS going after justice, longevity and love.
