Adding to the very-thin Mecha Genre

Hi all and just joined yesterday. I hope to help revive the massively UNPOPULAR Mecha genre even if just a smidge!!

I have a lot lot lot written up already and will post them in chunks over the next few weeks.



Synopsis:
It's been only a decade removed since the last Earth-Space War ended, and Hexa International's mechanized security service "Infinity" was a designed for volunteers across the globe with one goal: help keep the peace worldwide. But what is behind the sudden spikes in violence and cries for change? Who can figure it all out and make a difference while surviving long enough to see it through?

If there is Yuri or Gender Bender or any other nonsense, I'll have to decline reading it. Otherwise, I love Mecha and hate that its so niche. Anyway, answer me on the Yuri/Gender Bender crap. Any romance that isn't hetero, is a deal-breaker for me. Still, romance rarely plays a large part in Mecha shows...normally. There are a few exceptions.

Absolutely zero of what you said, and the hetero romance that is there is minimal to the point it's only what is necessary to move the characters forward. And when I say minimal, I mean the meaning of the relationship is clearly shown but I don't show what happens if you get what I mean. I don't waste any words at all on what won't progress the actual plot with making out or any kind of smut

I didn't say I wanted mecha with as little romance as possible. I said it was rarely the norm in mecha. It was done fairly well in a couple of the Gundam seasons, though they always seem to add some tragic spin to it because fuck happiness or something.. The only thing I said was that I wouldn't read it if the romance that was present, was gender bender or yuri or anything non-hetero. Then I asked the author about it.

I did. I didnt mean to insinuate that you wanted the absolute minimum. I was just simply telling you that as it was just matter of fact, and maybe you would like to know ahead of time? lol

But no main reason I replied was just to confirm that there was no non-hetero romance, mostly because one of my 3 goals was to write a mecha where a boy girl relationship was NOT the core plot progression device (like how a lot tend to do, especially more recent Gundams like SEED et al)
