I know that this will be different for everyone so I wanted to attempt an experiment. If possible, I want each of you to only write while listening to one of the songs in the poll on repeat. Then try it with the other songs and see which one and see which song gave you the most productive writing session. I've been doing this for a week and "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin has been the most productive so far. If there is another song that is not on the list that made you more productive then please choose the other option and state what it was.

Edit: Everyone is just choosing other right off the bat without actually trying the experiment. Though I kind of expected this since getting anyone to do anything on this site other than shitpost is like herding rabid monkeys with a stick.

Productive songs to listen to mainly depend on what genre you want to write. An example is that once I listen to rock songs, I tend to be more focused on writing action scenes and slowly lose focus on another genre. When listening to sad music, my writing goes to drama and such so songs mainly affects how I want my story goes.

Listening to any song on repeat while trying to be productive just sounds like a terrible idea to me, but there are lots of strange people out there who play a song to death or watch a movie 10 times in a few weeks. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ humans are hard to understand

I just listen to music while I work to act as white noise. These songs specifically produce noises that act as a stimulant of sorts while I'm writing so I wanted to see how they affected other people.

me. I listen to one song nonstop sometimes for 10 hours plus. It kinda becomes the theme of whatever I am doing.
Any song is fine, but the key is you gotta like it in the first place.

Ok, I gave in and listened to the first minute of each of the songs mentioned.

I can say with clear concise now that none of these songs are capable of boosting my productivity, because they are so annoying I couldn't even listen to one of them to the end without snapping.

There are only 2 acceptable songs that you can listen to for 10 hours in my eyes, and they are Nyan cat and Diggy hole. While I say they are acceptable I probably would only listen to at most 30 minutes of them :ROFLMAO: I like variety

Soothing WW1 sounds to relax to or 1 hour women crying. Both on loop.
First one legit sounds nice. Second is for when I need to break monotony and laugh as to why it exists.

my go to music choice is Eurobeat. I'll just put up a mix I find from spotify or youtube and get to work on whatever it is. The beats is energetic and the lyrics aren't distracting

Foreground Eclipse. Yes, Ai-chan knows you want Ai-chan to experiment, but Ai-chan doesn't have much time to try something different. So Ai-chan is just going to video drop stuff here, and they're already made to be 30 minutes long looping on the parts that stimulate the brain instead of the whole song on repeat. Too bad Foreground Eclipse disbanded.

Merami is great. Merami is all you need. Merami is god.

Yes, they're all Touhou songs. And there's a reason why Touhou songs are great. They're great.

You need to write a grant proposal for this experiment and offer the subjects some monetary compensation.
