I am kind of stealing this from @ElijahRyne because I didn't realize how much I enjoyed debating with people. So go check out his thread before you look at mine
Rules:
1. You can debate about any topic, just try to not take it to seriously.
2.You are limited to three post per debate, but you can start more debates with me an unlimited amount of times.
3.Have fun (or not I am not your dad).
I'm also a fan of debate. I will take either side of any topic, regardless of what my actual opinions are.
The only issue is that I'm having a hard time coming up with a topic for this. So, instead, I will just go off a debate topics list I found with a quick web-search.
I will let you decide which side of this one you want to argue. I'll take the opposite of whichever side you choose. (If you respond with the same thing, my actual plan in that case is to flip a coin as to which side I will take.)
trust them with what? a secret? they're useless. no, toddlers don't count. now try thinking of a single bald person you know. someone you could trust. you will find none. it's not a coincidence.
for further argument, I'll provide a few examples of famous personnel: jeff bezos, joe rogan, the rock.
It is true without lying, certain & most true.
That which is below is like that which is above & that which is above is like that which is below to do the miracles of one only thing.
And as all things have been & arose from one by the mediation of one: so all things have their birth from this one thing by adaptation.
The Sun is its father, the moon its mother,
the wind hath carried it in its belly, the earth its nourse.
The father of all perfection in the whole world is here.
Its force or power is entire if it be converted into earth.
Seperate you, the earth from the fire, the subtile from the gross sweetly with great indoustry.
It ascends from the earth to the heaven & again it desends to the earth and receives the force of things superior & inferior.
By this means you shall have the glory of the whole world & thereby all obscurity shall fly from you.
Its force is above all force. for it vanquishes every subtile thing & penetrates every solid thing.
So was the world created.
From this are & do come admirable adaptations whereof the means (Or process) is here in this.
Hence I am called Hermes Trismegist, having the three parts of the philosophy of the whole world.
That which I have said of the operation of the Sun is accomplished & ended.
2x2=4
2+2=4
2^2=4
Therefore 4 & 2 are the best numbers to use when trying to decipher the formula for the elixir of immortality. As that of below is above and above below. Is similar to the transmutation of the numbers 2 and four.
When Hermes says that all comes from the mediation of 1 thing, he either means energy or space. By energy I mean the thing that makes up all fundamental particles. I believe this to mean matter though, for it is the only thing I know to adapt and change.
The sun its father, and the moon its mother… points that these lines being about life on our planet. It is from this life we can find the secret to immortality.
Separating the earth from the fire gently and carefully, means to take the energy from molten rock to power the transformation.
The rest of the lines describe the product, the elixir of life.
So here is my argument. To destil the elixir you must be able to use the heat of molten earth to fuse helium into beryllium. Then, using the cooled earth, create a silicon based life form using the beryllium as its blood. Then you allow it to multiply. Once there are two, you melt them down. What remains is the elixir.

Reaction channels, are often portrayed as leech like existences on youtube that do not bring anything any value to the platform. Only, extracting value from the hard work of others. I posit that reaction channels are the single greatest channel for exposure and cross-cultural connection on the internet.
Point One
Reaction channels allow relatively unheard of videos or channels to be presented to a wider audience. This increases the views of burgeoning channels. Animators and quality content creators who cannot maintain daily uploads can through this medium still be advertised to a larger audience.
Point Two
Reaction channels shine their brightest when it comes to music. They act as a form of free advertisement for songs without backing from bug music companies. This allows many more people to follow their dreams of being an independent artist. Freeing them from the chains they would have to otherwise subject themselves to in the music industry.
Point Three
Reaction channels offer a point of cross-cultural communication. Channels like Trybals and Dimple can show us a new world that we do not have tangible access to. Reaction channels are the single greatest platform for learning about your fellow man without leaving your home. If you want more, step outside the house.
Conclusion:
Reaction Channels are good.
Tidbit: You're putting alot on yourself to be the devil's advocate for all of these. If you wish to change topics, that would be acceptable.
That's a separate matter. If those are more important to you, do them. I wont blame you, just don't use them as an excuse for why you didnt pursue a good career.
I think that's fair, no? Like, I'm okay with people having priorities. Choosing one thing over another, for whatever reason they have. Just be honest about it and not lay blame on others. YOU made the choice, not them. Peer pressure and whatnot are factors, but in the end all of us have to take responsibility for our own actions.
I'm using "you" generally, by the way. Dont mean any offense
Qell we cant say YOURE one of those women, tho. Nursing is a job that requires strict education but has a comparatively low payout. Smh its wack. Doctors specialize in just one or two things and get paid fuck loads more while yall do just about everything else they dont want to do themselves and get paid way less.

I would agree that reaction channel are overall are good, especially for independent artist that want to make a living, but I will say the reason people typically have a negative views of reaction channels is because they generally add nothing to the content and can make a living doing their best impression of a cardboard cutout.

I would argue that is true of almost any medium. Since this argument is concluded, I'll drop some good reaction channels .
Top Tier:
KnoxHill(Rap Reactions)
Trybals(Much like the name suggests, people who live in tribes. There are people from India, Afghanistan, etc)
Dimple(Koreans and survivors of North Korea)
Military Veteran Reacts(The dude is a veteran, as you might have guessed)
Still ok:
Chicago reacts(Actors and voice actors from Chicago These people don't tend to add alot, but the repotoire they react to is the big point here.)
Mr. Terry History Reacts(...History)
Vlogging through history(...History)
Eh:
Teacher Eddie(of varying quality from yeah, that's right to random twenty minute lectures about different topics.)
The moment I finish the November Writing Grind, and get off my depressed transgirl ass, I either need to write about a sentient Lair that expresses itself as a paradox, causing trouble for the dragon that lives in it, or pitch the idea to someone I halfway trust.
You got a smile out of me, and quite possibly inspired a story.
As for the Liar's Paradox, well, yes. One could get around it by pitching a heated debate over what the antecedent of "this" is, but I'm several shades too sober for what is essentially a giant lawyer joke :P
