sometimes it's for example a link to scribblehub main page, for example: https://www.scribblehub.com/?pg=4, and it makes sense that someone got to my fiction from there if I recently posted new chapter

but sometimes it just links to user's profile, example: https://www.scribblehub.com/profile/62940/sakevision/

I saw several user profiles there today, including, comically, my own

what does it mean?

The last url before someone viewed your novel. try opening up a chapter from the table of contents. the edit url will show up.
It probably means that you, and a few other readers, opened your story through a user's profile.
yup. that's usually the case

is it just me or does anyone else weirdly get "(empty)" as a url in their referrer section?

This is normal

The source for this data is provided by the browser accessing the page. So if by some option it is redacted (such as entering the link in your address bar for example), it will show like that.

It's pretty common to get this if you used the Notification Bell to go directly to a chapter's comment section, as well.

Or if you jumped using a bookmark or something like that too. I sometimes find links that were obviously me jumping to my story from someone else's.
