I'll be honest here. I originally intended for a romantic comedy war between virgins and monster girls, but somehow it became a quite serious state of business with demanding lore between the survival of the human race against the inhuman "race", the Demi's.

The otherworldly saying goes, "a chaste person never chases", so the otherworldly dominant species said, "then hunt them and multiply, my children.".

A secret cold war between the imaginary species that prey on ours under the disguise of love and culture exchange. The general populace lack awareness to the danger these imaginary species hold over them due to two major reasons. One is that these imaginary species are able to coerce unguarded humans to forget them, and two is that they are able to transform to their preys most desired shape and form. Unable to die due to their borderline imaginary existence, only being able to appear in the minds of unsuspecting humans or in worst cases, possessing the bodily forms of said preys desired mate. These imaginary specie hold no true sex or gender and instead take after what their prey consider acceptable and very desirable along with the "human" characteristics they are capable of mimicking.

The only way to defeat them is to either abstain from any kinds of love or use supernatural means to deceive, banish, contain, or destroy them. Unfortunately, men are only capable of using magic if they keep their virginity at the age of 30, but the problem isn't sex but having sex with imaginary species that are camouflaging among humans. One can never know their closes friend or lover is actually the enemy waiting to feast upon your soul. The soul constantly generates energy and discharges via magic or sex. Any human contracting an imaginary species will have their soul tainted and partially devoured, thus losing the energy to perform magic along with their health deteriorating to the point of death via still breath or suicide. Other far damning scenarios portray the victim losing their sanity and becoming influenced by the imaginary species inhuman nature. Incompatibility happens as humans are incapable of understanding what imaginary species are, how they truly think, behave, or perceive the world of humankind. It is like forcing the blind to see, deaf to hear, mute to speak, and gravity to not do its function. The imaginary species are aliens contaminating the planet with their warped sense of laws which collide with our laws of physics. Magic is under the purview of metaphysics which is part of unobservable laws of physics the general populace have yet to completely apply to their level of civilization.

There are two dominant organizations against the imaginary species which are the Holy Church's Foundation and the Emerald Council. The Foundation is a coalition of varying religious bodies of the Holy Church working with supernatural forces to defeat these "devils". Some factions like the crazy Undertakers of the Dark Sacrament, clergymen and women that resolve themselves to the gray zones borderline sacrilegious (the act of committing evil against evil); elitist members of the darker side of the Holy Church's Silver Cross compromised of 30 members mastering CQC, assassinations, espionage, torture, and kidnapping; or the more zealous members of the Reverse Cross that are the forefront of the cold war against the "devils" or "heretics" that work with them. The Emerald Council is the more moderate side of the conflict, since they work with some of the benevolent or tamed "devils", and with almost all Councilmen and their subordinates being Mages with their own factions of different schools: Wizards, Magicians, Hermits, Philosophers, Sages, or Priests and Priestesses of other faiths. Both organizations have a shaky relationship bordering outright war if not for the invasion of the imaginary species.

The other organization opposing the two is the Walpurgisnacht, a coalition between Witches, Warlocks, Sorceress, Sorcerers, Dark Wizards, Dark Priests and Priestesses. They have common ground with the imaginary species with some of the members being prominent vessels for them.

Okay, I just realize this is borderline Fate (interchange Emerald Council with Mages Association) but with MGE added to the mix. Fortunately there aren't TYPES or Beasts like that. Just your "regular" fantasy species but "aliens" having "friendly" cultural barriers with "consensual" humans. I almost forgot, the imaginary species can be called Demikind. I know, I know, generic is it not? I'm out!

Why is it so hard to understand this? :blob_pat_sad:
  1. There are imaginary species Demi-kind, and they are fantasy creatures you read or see in fiction. Typically, the JP category as they cater all kinds of fantasies.
  2. The Demi-kind mimic human behavior to appeal and coerce humans in to accepting them to their societies. Other Demi-kind prefer to invade humans personally via possession and commit to either short or long term relationships with them as lovers or friends with benefits.
  3. Demi-kind are immortal because they are devoid of the concept of death and only ascribe to them if they possess humans or materialize in the physical world. They can overrule the natural laws of nature by phasing through dream states (dreams/phantasms/illusions/nightmares) or have a medium to temporarily bind their existence to the physical world where they are no longer imaginary or invisible to the untrained eye.
  4. Demi-kind desire souls because it is in their core function to assimilate all types of life-forms back to their dimension.
  5. Their dimension is not within the confines of our universe, but outside, thus they are foreigners with contradicting properties. You may view them as aliens of the Eldritch type.
  6. Humans who contract them via bodily fluids or sex lose their drive to live because of the drain of life force from the destabilize soul. Some of them go crazy from destabilization or mutate both spiritually and physically, eventually becoming a monster.
  7. Monsters are different from Demi-kind as Demi-kind can shape shift to their target's desires while monsters are the cancer cells of the physical world colliding with metaphysical world's laws from the Demi-kind's dimension.
  8. Before their arrival, the Holy Church and the Outer Sects were the only groups of people capable of performing miracles. The Holy Church through Incarnation (Prayers) via Angels or the Father. Outer Sects were the same but Incarnation via Supernatural Entities excluding the Holy Church's.
  9. The other dominant religions either assimilated with the Outer Sects or kept to themselves unlike the Holy Church which intervened with almost everything in both the surface and underworld side of things. In this timeline, the Holy Church never lost its military might and favorable relationship with the government bodies of those following the same faith.
  10. Mages weren't a thing until the invasion of the Demi-kind. Mages are magic users that either outsource their powers from the Demi-kind or the Kami (any god or goddesses except God) that responded fiercely against the invasion towards their homelands.
  11. Reorganization happened all around the world and a cold war followed after a darker age of slaughter between natives and foreigners along with those that sided with Demi-kind.
  12. Centuries later, modern era, the Holy Church established the Foundation (think of an umbrella of almost independent supernatural departments) while the Emerald Council was established from a coalition of various Outer Sects or state-religions moderately against the Demi-Kind. The Walpurgisnacht is an association of magic users who interbreed with the Demi-kind and are somewhat in alliance with them.

fairly easy to understand. I would either go with the church or Walpurgisnacht. Mainly because I see an organization that is trying to defeat an enemy through a somewhat moral high ground and another that wants to coexist with said beings. Depending on their arguments I could go either way. However, if I can get magic just by being a thirty-year old virgin then screw it, I'll be a virgin for as long as I need to.

Well, I tried. Perhaps I'll write a clearer setting next time.

Understandable.
That is the dummify version. And sadly, it seems to not exist in this world! :blob_catflip: They want us to use our brains! We don't want to use it! *Adds another thing to world domination plans.*
Succubus don't give that alien vibe. I tried portraying them as fantastic races but with a truly alien origin. Though, it appears to have confused people than give it a thought. Now I know simple is best but a with twist. You have my thanks.

Bold of you assume people are looking for "persons of interest". They might seek the tentacle more than its attachment.

Sadly, I didn't think enough about the thirty-year old requirement to become a mage. On the topic, do you dare to coexist with an invasive species that threaten your entire species?

It's not about setting tho? Personally, it's hard for me when people mix in lore-like pieces in their explanations and\or fear spoilers. You use a lot of words that are easy to misunderstand and have multiple definitions. It isn't structured well enough. And, yeah, I know nothing about Fate, so if you took a lot from it, don't expect me to understand what you wrote.

:blob_aww: Always treat everyone like an idiot. It's what I have learned these past years of my life. When they complain, then that means they have a brain. And that one got insulted. But most won't complain, even when they do have a brain.:blob_happy:

As you say, I broke the flow of what I'm conveying, and now it's messy. I'll need more practice in writing a clearer image.

Then what's the point of writing all of this? :blob_pat_sad: Why couldn't OP be like what you wrote?
Cuz we're writers, mate. We're long winded as fuck.

Also there was a lot of world building shit. Factions against the demihumans, factions who work with them, and some kinda neutral.

That's basically all you need to know. The details you can look up again, but this is the gist of it

It would be better to reveal it slowly through a story. The only problem here is you info dumped and that annoys some people since theres in-story lore. Even if you explain it, the titles and factions can overload them especially when its a wall of text.

Things can always be simply expained in a sentence or two, you just need to give an overview and not the gritty details. Just saying where each faction stands on the demi humans is enough. Which hates them? Which likes them? Which are neutral?
