Hey everyone, so I am currently trying to figure out where my next story will go. I am almost finishing my third book for gate and I have this idea to make an iseka.

One where a suicidal girl ended her life and gets transported into a new world *No rebirth.*. This world isn't any better than the first one. So she is looking for ways to end her life there too. Everyone has these expectations of her, and she wants none of that. She is supposed to be the priestess that brings peace to the world. *Not with her current heart, but people are cray, cray, and are desperate.*

What is worse is that the demon king/lord wants to marry her. He successfully rerouted the incantation and brought her to him instead. He is a bit of a tsundere, too. So he does not know what to do with this girl that keeps throwing herself out of the windows. P.S he has to marry her with her wanting it or else he won't get the buff of power he wants from her. *No forced anything.*

*This is romance, fantasy, smut, a slice of life, (Is it considered tragedy too? hm...) iseka, and many other genres.* Ones in bold are the ones I am used to writing. Also, most of my stories have dark elements. So Grim-dark stuff happens in them.

I was wondering what other ideas I could incorporate into this story to make it more unique. I am also looking for names for these characters. I usually decide before I start to write, but I wanted to see if any of you could come up with cool ideas.

Like magic systems, or anything else in that sense. Right now I am thinking of going with holy magic and dark magic, but that needs a lot of fleshing out still. So I am open to any ideas!

Oh, I also need a title~ That still is undecided but I would love to see any funny ones you come up with~ ;3 Maybe I will pick one~ *I usually go with ones that have to do with the story and aren't long. Ex. The two I have.

Also, if you would judge the cover I made atm(Might edit it later on) *You can also try to name the two main characters.~*

Let me know what you think or any ideas you have that may make this even more unique! :blob_aww:

The problem I see is that suicide is usually a thing for someone who personally sees no hope for their own life. It's often personal circumstances and not the world in itself. The way this synopsis starts it sounds like she's well-liked, very important, and not necessarily suffering. So I can't really see why she would want to kill herself a second time. (Also this is more a personal thing, but suicide is kinda heavy and to treat very carefully)

Severe depression. Not the kind of depression that some young 'uns have in a coffee shop but a real one. In other words, when the biochemical interactions of her brain are damaged or something like that.

Hm... This isn't the synopsis of the story itself, but the idea as a whole.

Interesting outtake though. However, suicide isn't only about no hope in their own life. It has many factors. Especially when all the trauma hasn't gone away. Some people do it on impulse to escape a problem *It doesn't have to be a world-ending.* Others are pushed to that edge even when they have hope for a better future. But what if you have no hope and suddenly you find yourself in a world that just wants to use you?

Is that being liked or just a tool? Just because she goes to a new place, it doesn't change her perspective in life. Much like when someone tries to commit suicide and fails to do so, they are kept on suicide watch. So just because she is transported after her death *Not reincarnated* does not change her view on the world. Hope I explained myself. Better~ :blob_melt:

I also plan to put warnings before I even place the story up. ^^ It is a strong topic, but I don't shy away from those.

Yep, yep! Depression doesn't get fixed just by being transported into another world. It takes a lot of time to dig out of that hole. Doesn't have to be chemical interventions, but it takes a lot to get out of that hole. A few cheers here and there won't take you out of that sadness and helpless feeling.

So you are correct! Her brain chemicals are messed up.~:blob_aww:

Maybe add a small injured animal or something. She'd have to take care of it which sparks a sense of responsibility and maybe a tiny will to live.

Hmm... small animal is a good idea. Lends some parellelism. But if she's starting off in the demon lord's clutches, how does she learn she's supposed to be some saintess? And how far down this grimdark rabbit hole do you want to go? And, if the demon lord is abducting her, how far down the Stockholm Syndrome rabbit hole do you want to go? And caring for someone clinically depressed in a way that might actually help them is exhausting. Are you sure the demon lords not just going to give up, toss heroine A out into the world, and summon a more emotionally balanced isekai order bride?

You could have her escape, make it to the humans or whomever tried to summon her initially, realize those people are bigots or whatnot and decide to actually work with the DK, assuming he seems in any way better.

I can add "mind fuck" and "mind break" into the mix but you want a family friendly work, so... bring cute people into her life then. I don't know how to deal with depression but one thing I always read is "needing tender loving care", but the issue here in this case is the FMC is shutting people up and ignoring people. Patience becomes a key factor for the tsundere maou then.

Mind magic is still on the table though.

She learns this because the demon lord himself tells her. He goes along the lines HAH I got the priest that is supposed to kill me. Something along those lines. I usually dip my toes in grimdark rabbit hole a lot, so maybe halfway there? Not a complete tragedy, though.

Stockholm syndrome... I am not sure if this will apply to it, though that is something to think about. She is a prisoner, but not at the same time. *Humans are not good people in this world either. None of the sides are.* *Also needs more polishing to make this better.*

Yep, the demon lord needs her to quell the humans. If she willingly marries him, he will get the buff to end the war. Heheheh... tossing her aside made me laugh. :blob_happy: That is a possibility, but he could only do the interruption spell once. *Some rare artifact he used for it.* There can only be one priestess in the world at a time, thus they can't summon another one unless they kill her. Something he wants to avoid if he wants to keep the humans from overthrowing him.

Good questions!

You could have her escape, make it to the humans or whomever tried to summon her initially, realize those people are bigots or whatnot and decide to actually work with the DK, assuming he seems in any way better.
Oh, this is brilliant and where I was thinking of it too. Though she will see it by the way people treat demons in this world. *Demons aren't actually bad but need certain things to survive.* Humans kill animals all the time to survive and some of those demons need humans' stuff to live. Kind of that relationship. Still working that stuff out in my head though. *Needs more polishing~*

Is it family-friendly o-o? I thought it wasn't!:blob_happy: Patience is key though, you are right in that point. And that something the tsundere demon lord will have to develop. Cute demons hm... Fluffy Cerberus... Hm...
Maybe this can be reference
Thank you!:blob_aww:

You see, suicide is not a problem with yourself, It's just a result of a complete and utter lack of hope that makes you feel that life has no meaning and everyone is better off without you anyway since you have no chance of being remotely useful to anyone and that you make no difference whatsoever in this fucked up dystopia we live in.

God I should stop writing grimdark...

For the Stockholm Syndrome you need to portray him as a monster of sorts. Stockholm is not Netflix's shitty prisoner romances, it is being through such hell that you find the most minimally humane actions from that person a kind of "compassion" or even "caring". The person does not fall in love for the person itself, but to that delusion of a "good person" from those small things. And that takes a LONG time, generally years.

So, a leash is a good way to keep someone from jumping out a window, just make sure she can't hang herself with it. If the Demon Lord wants this to be consensual and not something RFU, then he'll have to let her go. If you love something, set it free. It if loves you, it will come back. And maybe that's part of the crux: the Demon King learns to love and care about someone other, and try to heal her. But does Heroine A learn she's someone who can be loved? Can she learn to love herself? Does she return to the Demon Lord because he's the lesser evil, or does she fall for him? Does she decide that "marrying" and copulating with the Demon Lord is her best choice of suicide and as a happy plus will take out the rest of the world with her? (I also realize I'm assuming the gender of the Demon Lord and that human sexual biology and norms can apply between the two MC's. Maybe that's wrong? Do demon progeny eat their way out of a host or something? You Did say Grimdark.)

Heheh, yeah, I thought that was what it was. So it doesn't apply to this story :3 As the demon lord is a caring person to the MC. What you say is more like Killing stalking... I loved that webcomic. Though MC was just as messed up as the ML lol.

Lol that whole be a funny way to start xD he leashes her onto the bed. LOL xD god, I laughed. The problem is when you let go of some suicidal, the chances are they will commit suicide. Try one time they fail, they will try a second or a third time. So instead of just letting her go, he might want to keep her close and show her a world that might be worth living in? That is yet to be seen.

Pst, it is he. She will have to learn to love herself before she can love another. Basically or else you get the unhealthy love from my first novel, heheheheh... *It could happen in this one too.* Heheheh... How they fall for one another is part of the story itself :3~ How the 'cruel' tsundere demon lord learned to heal the heart of a broken fragile girl, who could kill him. So not that fragile.

Oh lord, not that grimdark. That would be a tragic line, and I don't want to hit it. Though that is a glorious thing for one demon subjects need to be. :blob_happy:

I'm also assuming Heroine A must be in reasonable possesion of her original mental faculty to consent for the Demon Lord's purposes, and that he can't just pull a "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" and electroshock or lobotomize her into docility. Or does he only discover this after performing the lobatomy and then has to get the Forces of Good to heal her? Or do the Forces of Good rescue her from the Demon Lord's tender clutches, learn how TFU she is and realize, "Hey, we just need her to launch uber-magic in the right direction," then shock her brain to goo and then the Demon Lord has to heal her?

(-- "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobatomy." -- Unknown)

I am not good at giving exact recommendations, instead, I believe that, I am good at giving good at giving guiding questions.
Recommendations: MC is skeptical of the higherarchys around her, if they exist.

Guiding questions (no need to answer them, unless you want to, for I am just spitballing ideas):
Does the demon lord and the demons originate from this world or another? Do the demons wish to conquer, or are they trying to live in peace? If they come from another world, is it Sci-fi or magic planes? If so, how did they get here? Why here, where they refugees, or are the colonizers? Can MC go back home? Does the Demon king know that MC had gotten isekai-ed? If so does he wish to prevent her from leaving, or search day and night for her home, behind her back?

Holy moly! That would be a great sci-fi mash-up!
But no, he can only do it willingly. :3 No shortcuts to be taken! *He does go through them though, like with his generals.* "How about brain surgery, my lord?" "Would that work?" "No, my lord it will not. She needs to be fully intact." "Shit." Pouts on his throne.

Hohoh! Thank you! I will answer because it helps me polish my ideas!
They originate from the same world! *Always been at war and they both have done cruel things to one another.* They are trying to conquer and live in peace. *One race can not tolerate the other.* Maybe this changes once the demon falls for the human girl.~ I am trying to make this world less modern than my other story, so it will be magic-based with very little tech.

MC can't go back home *She is dead there.* Demon king knows she is from another world. He definitely doesn't want her to go back home! xP He wants to marry her to get her powers! *Has to be willing for the ritual to work*

So, our story so far:
Demon King hijacks the summoning of a saintess for his own nefarious ends. Turns out, our would be saintess is of the homely, girl next door, "let me go slit my wrists in the tub so you can fuck corpse," type, which is why she was up for an isekai summon in the first place (NTR on Truck kun). Demon Lord realizes that for consent to work, he can't keep her a prisoner, but she'll commit suicide if left to her own devices, so he's stuck.
Luckily, A Hero Can Save Us! (ooh, there's a title: "A Hero Can Save Us!")
The FOG realize the Demon King has kidnapped their onstensible saintess (a.k.a. Heroine A) and sends a Hero Mark IV (party sold separately) to rescue her. After gathering trustworthy companions and one plant from the Demon Lord (yes, she's actually a plant), the Hero storms the castle rescues(?) Heroine A. Hillarity and healing ensue until the Hero gets fed up with Heroine A's shit and NTR's her for the Token Elf. Heroine A is left with only the cuddly Hell Beast she raised (after she found it as an injured stray. "Can I keep it, Maou-sama? I promise I'll feed and water it every day!"), a Demon Plant, and her own wits to save her from the FOG. Then, in her moment of greatest darkness and peril in the clutches of the Good, her Hell Beast runs away. She tries to hang herself from Yggy's, the demon bonsai's, branches, but Yggy doesn't let her, and when the Hell Beast returns, guiding the Demon Lord, she realizes (and internalizes) that she's really loved after all. She escapes with the Demon Lord, consents to whatever, and lives happily ever after while the rest of the humans perish.

Oh yeah, and also somehow learns that one of her incidental descisions saves a bunch of orphans or something and she starts to see the beauty in life. And some other filler.
